I wouldn't call you liars for what you honestly believe in. However I think that the reasons you believe in what you do are caused by the psychological effects of the rituals and indoctrinations, combined with the embracing effects of your club friends (which is a basic human need). That together with an unquestioning belief in one particular book that has little basis in fact,
There are many other spiritual beliefs apart from Christianity in which people have similar feelings.
Your god is no different to any other god in that respect. And don't forget that your god is not unique or original by any stretch of the immagination.
So, lying no.
Deluded, yes.

Sounds more like a rant in the form of a question. You are right when you say i have never experienced THE POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT. No, I do not think that most Christians are liars. I do believe that most of the Leaders are liars though. The rest just need something to believe in so they will discount anything that doesnt fit with their belief. They lie to themselves.

They could be a liar, they could be delusional, or they could be mistaken. I still don't believe they have.
My question remains why God would talk to some people (perhaps through the Holy Spirit?), while yet not talking to others. Sounds kind of like John Calvin's tenets, which ultimately equate to God being the source of evil.

Great post Crimmsonandclover.
How does someone make such claims (about Spirit-filled christians when they have no knowledge or experience of the Holy Spirit. If they want to be an "authority" they have to accept Jesus as their Savior and live their life with His spirit.
(keep warning them)

I once ate the larval worm after finishing a bottle of mezcal and did experience a bit of the holy spirit then. My question to you is, I know I could stomach my kind of holy spirit, but how do you stomach yours? Don't you get even a little bit nauseous?

I think that if you believe something hard enough, it becomes your reality. So, NO, I don't think that you are a liar...just that maybe you are confused, that you believe strongly in something fanciful, that you need an emotional crutch to cope with life's tribulations...
I teach 5th grade. Yesterday, the kids were talking about Bloody Mary...they decided to 'try' to see her in the mirror after school in the locker room. Today, they swore they saw her and that she was going to kill them one night in their sleep. Much like those scared kids, believers pray, worship, and respect to prevent them from burning in hell.

I was a Christian most of my life and when I was in immersed in it I was sure I was feeling all sorts of things, that's the power of suggestion.... not God.
I now experience an authentic happiness that is clarity of mind, you should try it.

Stop ranting.... no one has felt the holy spirit ok? If I tell you everynight that the 'virgin' mary comes to me in a bunny suit and we have wild sex, then write it in a book called 'undead's holy bible' would you call me a liar?
