You could go to a ceramics shop & pick a jar or bottle or box. It would be sold as bisque ware & you can paint anything you want on it. Then it would be fired so that what you painted will be bright & shinny.

They might even have some bisque of a collie that you could fill with her ashes. Paint the collie to look just like yours.

You could go to Hobby Lobby & get a wooden chest to put her ashes in. They have some really nice, fancy ones.

Someone mentioned Ebay & large pet stores for vases or boxes & urns.

So sorry for your lose. I will be loosing my 14 yr old Chow X soon & that, too, will break my heart like yours is broken.

I will bury him in my back yard. So he will always be with us.

I am very sorry for your loss. To design this you need to know the dog - so you are best to decide. For me I would pick her favorite spot from the house and use that for your design for the vase. For example: My 16 year old cocker spaniel passed this spring and she LOVED to stretch out in the sunny spots..I said she was warming her bones. So I have a big sunshine on her box - which is in the shape of a dog bone - her other favorite thing. The dog I have now is crazy about his racoon squeaky toy - so his would have a racoon on it:)

Hi, I can understand how u feel. Sometimes the passing away of something you love can make you go numb with sadness. If u have any favourit article that belonged to your dog, U can get it framed or keep it in a special box and bury it near him. U can also get a photo of his enlarged and maintain a small diary where you can write down all the good times you had with him and read it to the photo. Maybe it will reach your friend. Take care

If your town has a shop that allows you to paint your own pottery, that may be a way for you honor the memory of Abby. You could paint the vase in the color of Abby or what every inspires you. I am sorry for your loss.

Maybe you should do something that has a dark blue somewhere on it or use a saphire somewhere on it. That's the color of the September birthstone and the month she passed. You can probably look online for the September flower to use.

I'm sorry to hear about your dog, Ashlee. It's never easy to lose a friend.

Were there any trees or flowers your dog especially liked? Perhaps you could have a picture of one of those on the urn. Or maybe you could even have a picture of her on it: There are people who can do that kind of work for you.

Feel better.

How about going to one of those ceramic painting places? Pick a canister that you like, and paint it in blue-green colors. Your dog was a blue, and blue green are the colors for Virgos. I am so sorry, your dog was lucky to have you

I'm really sorry about your loss : (

I have had many dogs cremated over the years...I don't keep their ashes, I scatter them in one of their favorite places...The beach, the neighborhood park, even in front of one's favorite fire hydrant (I can't count the 1000's of times he peed there...).
