New Light, is when a cult falsely prophecy's, and has to back track to say that they are not a false prophet...so they find a scripture, take it out of context and ignore all scripture that condemns false prophets...apply it to the "New Light" dogma and call it divinely given.

Confused? Yeah, me too!

P.S. Tigre...I was a witness for 22 years and i have been looking into their false teachings for an additional 24 years...That qualifies me as an expert on the dogma.

I am surprised that most questions about Jehovah's Witnesses are often answered by people looking for a reason to disprove them. Very seldom have i read anything from a person claiming to be associated with WTBS. Also what is it with people challenging their statements with little more than a personal preference? In order to contradict a statement you need to focus on the statement. It is the BIBLE's doctrine NOT WTBS that an increasing of understanding will occur, and "strongly entrenched things, be overturned"

Basically it means we are growing in our understanding of the Bible and Bible truths. I have seen many on here say that God doesn't change. We aren't saying he does, we are saying we were wrong, but look, we have figured it out and moved on. I personally would rather be willing to say I was wrong, then to continue with a clearly wrong belief simply because it is what we have believed.

As for things like Vaccines, honestly, applying millenia old principles to new science isn't always easy.

The expression "new light" is a common idiom in the English language. It is certainly not part of some jargon specific to Jehovah's Witnesses.

Generally, it means "new understanding", and implies a growing body of supportive knowledge.

(Proverbs 18:15) The heart of the understanding one acquires knowledge, and the ear of wise ones seeks to find knowledge.

"New light" comes to us through the Holy spirit guiding us to a clearer understanding of Devinne principals.
Remember the bible is a guide book, and has parts meant specifically for people of different ages/ time periods.
The bible is not stagnant, it doesn't remain in the dark ages of the 16th century.
Our God is a living God, and he directs his people. To follow someone, he needs to move.......Our God, Jehovah moves, and his followers move with him into the new light he provides.

New light is when some info changes and becomes different.

It is a cop out for changing bad answers to true Christians to even worse answers.

Truth is truth and doesn't change.

Wake up JW"S, you're being duped!
