There isn't much in Dupage county. You can go just to the west and find great fishing in the Fox River which also has camping at Silver Springs State Park in Yorkville. A bit to the north are the Chain of Lakes and that state park also has some good camping areas. Just south of Joliet is the Des Plains Conservation area along the Kankakee River and east of there is the Kankakee River State Park (near Kankakee). All of these areas are an hour or less from Dupage County and offer good camping and fishing areas

West on Route 80, west of Morris by about 30-40 minutes is Starve Rock state park. Located nearest the small town of Utica. They have camping facilities and it is located right on the Illinois River. Here you have the option to bank fish, rent a boat, or fish off a wall. I've fished the river my whole life and have caught nice Catfish, Striper, Whitebass, Largemouth, Walleye and of course Carp. It is also near the vermilion river which is also a nice fishing area. There are also hiking trails through beautifully perserved forrests. Beautiful at this time of year.

The only place to camp I know of in DuPage is Blackwell Forest Preserve in Warrenville. Good fishing also.
