Don't you have to reset the computer for the light to turn off?

Ok what's the code and what's the engine?

Clearing codes and it comes back means other issues.. if it's heater o2 codes, more likely wiring shorts are causing it or the fuse for the heater is blown under the hood or the dash...

Check for blown fuses first.. then recommend a shop to possibly trace down the issue as wiring is a nightmare on them things...

If lean or rich codes, disconnect the battery to clear, reroad test and see if light comes back, if yes probably vaccum leak or something causing the vehicle to run rich

Without you providing more info, I'm doing like click and clack and shooting in the dark.

I have a 96 ford countor gl. I know what your talking about. its your spark plugs. how many miles do you have on your countor. I rebuild my motor 1 yr. ago. I have about less then 10 thousand miles on the motor. the same thing happened to me, I changed my sensor, and it came on a few days later. I checked the plugs, and one of them had a bad spark. replaced, and never had any trouble with it since. they are good gas savers. 4cyl motor. good luck.
