That's photo has been around for a some time, but you can bet if species-crossing could be done, someone would be doing and charging good money for the offspring.

That is quite possibly the most disturbing image I have ever seen. My breath litterally caught in my throat.

Unfortunately, something sort of similar is being done. Dog/Wolf hybrids are readily available as we speak, which I think is nothing short of atrocity. If dog owners are not responsible enough to handle their completely domesticated pets, how on earth will they handle an animal that is half wild....these hybrid attempts have to stop.

In reality? Not much. In almost all cases cross species mating yields no results. In the few that do succeed, the result is a sterile "mule".

That picture is really freaky, and whoever put that one together has way too much spare time... Funny and really creepy....

And crossing 'real' dog breeds is great, you get the best of both breeds and an interesting and unique pet. I've got a black lab x and am always getting comments and questions about her because she looks like a bit black terrier...

Different species cannot impregnate each other, only similar species of the same genus can reproduce (i.e., lions/tigers, wolves/dogs)
