my uncle just commited suicide and his wife is now bombarded with all sorts of problems because they never talked about it. They are younger and now this happened. Just wondering how many people think about it.

im 37 yrs old. i met my hubby when i was 15yrs old... sad to say his bestfriend passed away at age 21yrs old. it was someone we both loved and knew. he had a child... at that time my hubby and i talked about what are wishes were. we saw how his bestfriends family had to deal with evrything...my mother passed away 2 yrs ago. she had 3 children and none of us knew what to do. she never talked to us about it... its a terrible thing to think about but something that happens and should be brought up... just like if you and your spouse was in a car wreck and both passed away then who would raise your children.. we have that matter fixed too. both my children go to my brother.. theres alot people should open their eyes about and put things on paper

My hubby and I had that conversation about a year into living together. We were 23 at the time (young but smart). The fact of the matter is it is a very necessary talk.

I had the talk with my husband. As much as I don’t want to think about anything happening to either of us, this is the real world and s##t happens. Plus I would never want to burden him with the fact of having to think….”What would she have wanted” in such an already emotionally trying time. I have seen family members in all out battles over whether to have lilies or roses at the funeral of their mother…when in fact I think their mother wouldn’t have cared, and would only want her children NOT to be fighting about flowers. I would rather my husband say “ I know what she would have wanted because she TOLD ME“…it’s just easier and more kind to the ones left behind.

I am 23 and my hubby is 29. We discussed this about 2.5 years ago. We have two small boys now, so I wanted to know what would happen to them if something happened to me or him and I at the same time. And he has a life insurance policy, his mother was the benificiary, I am now, unless we both die, then it's my mom.

Please extend my sympathies to everyone in the family. My husband and I had discussed our last wishes and made out wills when we first married. Two years later, he died in a car accident and I shipped him home for burial in the cemetery where his parents and brother were buried. Just as he had asked.

I am sorry for your loss. I have not dicussed last wishes with my husband, but that is probably a good idea, sad as it is.
