If someone says to you "Are you guys going out?!" What kind of answer supposes that the person does want to go out with you? [Please note that this isn't a question to find out signs of affections/feelings that she/he has for someone.]

Anything that has a temporary feel - such as:
Not yet (a bit obvious)
No - we're both too busy (requires other parties collaboration)
I need to pass Maths first
or sort of change the subject but leave it open like:
Maths study is taking all my time at the moment

Nah, more likly if they specifiy "Hey are you going out with anyone?" THAT would be a sure sign....
