...the exact date I was baptized? I know it was a few Sundays before Mother's Day of this year, but I just can't remember exactly which one. I remember the date I was saved, which was January 12, 2007 in the middle of a very emotional night between me and God. I thought I would always remember te day I got baptized, but I don't. See, my baptism was just to show the world that I belonged to God. The day I remember so well is the one that changed my life and the person I am. So, is it horrible that I don't remember or is it okay because the day that is really important is the day God saved me?

My church is..well was, very small and had only a hand ful of members. No records were kept. I say was because of money issues, the church had to close its doors, but its okay, because we all still get together, though just not ever Sunday!

Obviously you remember the day just not the date. What is horrible is that you are focusing so much energy worrying about this.

Relax, it's not horrible at all. What's really important is that you remember the "why".

But you would like to find out the date though, the church may have given you a baptism certificate? Usually when someone is baptized at our church, they are given a Bible with the date written inside.

Otherwise, maybe they published it in the following week's church bulletin? Maybe they keep a copy of each week's bulletin (either file copy or on the computer)? Or do they have a website where you can refer to back issues of the bulletin? (Some churches have that.) Check with your church office. Hopefully someone can find it somewhere.
