The News Paper Is The Second Best Place To Look Shelter First. I Got Mine Out Of A News Paper (there wasn't and in the shelter.) If You Want A Little One You Probably Want A Teacup. If You Want A Big One You Want A Standard

Tea Cup Size: 4 LB & under
Toy Size: 4 - 6 LB
Standard Size: 6 LB up
AKC Standard: 7 LB

First of all, I believe all Yorkies are brown and black, and you are right that most small breeds are not in shelters very long if at all.

First, are you looking for that cute little sweetie in the picture or have you really read up on Yorkies and love them anyways?

Do you know Yorkies can be very snobby and can be tempermental? They are usually very possessive of their owners and therefore, sometimes snarl or growl at others. It is also very highly recommended that Yorkies get obedience training.

Do you also know that due to their long hair, Yorkies need special attention to their anus and their eyes where they are prone to infection if not kept clean?

Now saying all that, if you know what you are in for and you really want a Yorkie, get on the internet and search "Yorkie rescue" in your hometown/state/province, etc.

If you go to a breeder, be wary of any breeder who does not have both the mother and father on site. There are a lot of people cashing in on the tiny dog craze.

Good luck.

specific it fairly is going to fade. many times after 8-10 washes you're able to be able to desire to have the colour you %. you are able to help it alongside via using a superior shampoo. Shampoos made for bright hair are many times somewhat superior.

there are lots for adoption in texas ,i believe there is a shelter called lonestar yorkie rescue
fill out an application and then when the right dog comes in you will be able to adopt quicker.
as puppies yorkies are brown and black but as they mature they turn a silver .brown color.
