My husband is in the marine corp right now, and I'm prego with the second child. When he gets out next year, and I have our second baby. I want to join the airforce, and want to do the officer's program where you go to college, they pay for it, and you sign up for service years. Will they let me?

Yes, but to do so, you have to have an acceptable child-care arrangement in place. The fact that BOTH members of the family are enlisted does NOT automatically guarantee stationing together, deployment-schedule matching, or anything. While you CAN do it, I would strongly advise against it, for the sake of the children, and the marriage.

You can ask to be in the medical field when you sign up and get your training and get paid at the same time. Let me ask you - why the Navy? You could be deployed for 6 - 12 month on a ship, far away from home. Consider Air Force. I know troop quarters are much nicer than any of the other services. You can still become a nurse. I think, with proper planing and a VERY cooperative husband, you could make joining the military a great experience. I was an army wife for over 20 years, lived on 3 continents, made lots of friends and have accumulated memories one can only dream about. Go for it, the world is yours to explore!

Yes, you can. As long as you have someone to care for your kids when you're deployed, you'll be allowed to join. Assuming you're not 400 lbs, blind, etc. etc. etc....lol. And I believe there is a maximum age for joining. When I was going through Navy boot camp, it was 35, I think.

do you mean ROTC? if you apply for and get a scholarship, sure. but it's pretty competitive.

as long as your spouse is out of the Active Military, it shouldn't be a factor, although any more than 2 kids would be.

Yes! You might have to get a waiver and fill out more paperwork, but as soon as you get a chance you should talk to a recruiter
