I don't consider that to be excessive. I think it's normal as longs as you aren't deliberatly trying to get drunk every single night.

If you have intense cravings for alcohol, you're an alcoholic. If you could drink Pepsi instead of wine those 3 days a week, for a month, and not have strong cravings for alcohol, you're not.
But it's not being an alcoholic that's you should worry about. It's being a problem drinker. How are you getting home after you drink 3 glasses of wine? THAT is where the rub lies.

If you are worried enough to ask this question then you could have a problem. A lot of people start off drinking socially like you then it gets more and more until they do have a problem. Two or three glasses doesn't sound much but just how big are the glasses. Three glasses can be as much as a whole bottle! Just remember that alcohol is, in fact, a poison.

It doesn't sound like it. It may depend on why you drink.
Is your drinking interfering with work, personal relationships, and interests that you have?
Do you feel that it's a problem?
If you are at all bothered, reduce the amount you drink. Have 1 or 2 glasses of wine and then drink water or something else after. But if all seems well then don't worry.

Alcoholism creeps up on people...slowly.
I would say that is normal for an average person, but too much for ME.
I won't drink more than one drink per month (nothing, now that I am pregnant), and would divorce my husband if he drank 2-3 glasses of wine 3x per week. Those are just my standards. My mother died an alcoholic. I won't have frequent alcohol use in my home. Ever.

Your fine. If the alcohol is not causing problems in your life then you don't have a problem. You are and alcoholic when you start having trouble at work and with friends because of drinking.

I would have to say if you could keep that 2 or 3 to 2, No.
3 sounds borderline, depending on how big the glass is.

Well what would happen if you skipped one of those days of drinking? Or went 1 week without drinking? If you are really concerned I would cut out 1 week of drinking and see. You are really the only one that can answer this question.

Nope.
If the first thing you think about in the morning when you wake up and the last thing on your mind at night is alcohol, then go to an AA meeting.
