You're dealing with someone who isn't all that bright, (therefore potentially dangerous).
Tell him to stay away from you, it's certainly not YOUR fault that he cheated on her, and to respect your wishes in the matter.
If he refuses, and continues to harass you, (after he's been asked to leave you alone), suggest to him there could be legal repercussions to his behavior.
Be polite, but firm. Ignore him.

You need to be FIRM and tell him "sorry mate you Reallllly screwed up and and now you have to deal with the consequences" "you made your bed and now you have to lay in it"
And do me a favor tell the girl that he hurt GOOOD FOR HER for staying away and not talking to him!! Just goes to show she is a strong woman!! and she does not take ish from no one!!

Tell him if he doesn't stop you'll have a chat with the law because it's harassing you and it's his problem with her, and nothing with you. Tell him you won't get involved so leave you alone.

Screen your calls. Don't answer the phone when he calls.
My former sister-in-law calls me to ask me questions about her lover. I don't like that. I just don't answer the phone or return her calls.

just say your not getting involved and then dont get involved let you mate and him sort it between themselves.. best to keep well clear of any discussion involving either of them.. it will only come back to haunt you later..
