I have this reoccurring dream...?

I have this reoccurring dream that I have to drive over this huge long bridge over water and im so frightened to drive over it. but i have to to get to this party on the other side. what could this mean? I am not afraid of bridges in my waking life. but i have this dream a few times a month.

That is so weird. I have an incredibly similar reocurring dream...I am driving up to this bridge that is so high in the air - i am afraid of heights in reality, so in my dream i am hesitant to cross it because it's so high that it doesn't look possible/safe to drive over. Also, I don't know what is on the other side of the bridge - it is just something that I have to cross for wherever I am driving. A few weeks ago when I had the dream I was driving with my boyfriend and the people ahead of us did not make it over the bridge and we saw them fall off - we went and were ok but later in the dream i woke up while we were crossing it...I don't know if we made it over.
I currently live with my boyfriend and we go to college together and I just made the decision to move home (4hrs away) cause I am graduating...I am pretty sure that my bridge is about leaving him and "us" and my fear of the bridge is my fear of us breaking up or my fear of insecurity without him by my side...

This is just a guess, but I think it means that you're at a point in your life where you need to change something. However, you are scared of that change, even though you know that life will be better for you afterwards.

The long bridge represents the steps you must take in order to achieve the change, which is the party in your dream. The reason why you're scared to go across is because you don't want to fall into the water, AKA fail at that change. You must take a chance and cross the bridge in order to be where you'd truly be happier.

Great responses. I imagine it's a bridge you have to cross and being high up is usually over your head, but you figure the other side will be fun, better or what have you. The world is extremely difficult today as the complexity is beyond our conscous abilities, but the subconscious has about a million times the capacity.
