OVIEDO, Spain -- Scientists and forensic specialists gathered in Oviedo, Spain, this week to examine an obscure relic that many have claimed authenticates the Shroud of Turin -- believed by many to be the burial cloth of Jesus Christ.

The Sudarium of Oviedo is reportedly the other linen cloth found in the tomb of Christ, as described in the Gospel of John. The relic, whose dramatic history is intertwined with the Knights Templar, Moors, El Cid, saints and bishops, has been in Spain since A.D. 631.

The Sudarium has been in Spain since 631 so it's impossible for the shroud of turin to have been created in the 1300's as the erroneous carbon dating claims.
It's also quite odd that so called scientists would buy into the flawed methodology which was followed when taking the piece of the shroud to be carbon tested. Soot deposits from the fire that almost destroyed the shroud caused the readings to be wrong.

Question: Does knowing that the Sudarium of Oviedo contains the same blood type and matches the shroud, help prove, disprove the authenticity of the shroud? Increase your faith? atheists keep the hate to a minimum.
thank you.

Three different labs all came back with the same date. You need a better news source than WingNut Daily.

P.S. The Shroud of Turin has no blood on it.

The shroud doesn't even agree with scriptures. The jewish custom was to wrap the body with strips of linen and precious spices and aloes (100 pounds on Jesus case) and the head to be wrapped separately (not one piece as the shroud claims). Besides, ever try putting a cloth on your face and then laying it flat? The face pictured is extremely wider than the front view of a face as shown in the shround because the cloth wraps a 3 dimensional face and when layed flat is much wider.

John 20
5 And he stooping down, and looking in, saw the linen clothes lying; yet went he not in.
6 Then cometh Simon Peter following him, and went into the sepulchre, and seeth the linen clothes lie,
7 And the napkin, that was about his head, not lying with the linen clothes, but wrapped together in a place by itself.

Mark 15
46 And he bought fine linen, and took him down, and wrapped him in the linen, and laid him in a sepulchre which was hewn out of a rock, and rolled a stone unto the door of the sepulchre.

John 19
39 And there came also Nicodemus, which at the first came to Jesus by night, and brought a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about an hundred pound weight.
40 Then took they the body of Jesus, and wound it in linen clothes with the spices, as the manner of the Jews is to bury.

OK - that was a complete waste of time. Please try a source that is at least as credible as the national enquirer.

This is pure Hooey. I bet the next article is about how Elvis, Big Foot and the Loch Ness Monster were caught in secret meetings plotting the Sub-Prime loan crisis.

I'm a Christian, and I don't think it is real. It doesn't matter if it is or not to me. I think its a fake someone made to make money long ago. They have speculation that de vinci made it using primitive photography
