my ps2 no longer plays playstion games or dvd's.its really old, i got it in 2001.do u know how to or someone to fix it?

ive tryed cleaning the lens but that didnt work either

If cleaning the laser eye doesn't work, you may need to replace it. Here is a site that sells the replacement laser eyes, but you may want to check a few other sites and do a price comparison.

I have a playstation 2 I got the it the same year as you its really old and started doing the same thing so I took it apart and looked at the part where the disc is it had a cover over it and was held down with 4 tiny screws I got the screws out and pulled off the cover cleaned the eye real good and put it back together I stuck in a game and it loaded faster and played everything(if you decide to do this you will have to take off the warranty sticker and make sure the systems off and be very gentle taking everything off )DO AT YOUR OWN RISK
