Car = decision making
parking lot, car park place = direction to life
It seems like you have some sort of anxiety in your life. Projecting yourself losing car shows sign of losing control in making decision or not knowing exact direction you should move on. It may reflect your anxiety or your personalities in terms of how organize you are. However, the bottom line is that you are seeking for some direction in life and yet you are not sure which is the best one. Losing car seems like a symbol of losing goal in life and you vent it out in dream.

I once started a new job in a different city. It was my first day there and within an hour of starting work, I get a message to call an officer at the police department. I called and the officer said, 'Well I had your Ford hauled away last night and thought you might have questions or something to say to me."
I said, "Officer, I don't own a Ford, never did. What was it for?" You could hear the squeak of his chair as he sat upright and quickly said, "Um, I'll have to get back with you." He never did. Someone lost a car, but it wasn't in their dreams.
Memory is a wonderful thing, until you need it and it isn't there. Some of the drama of life is replayed by toying with how important the matter is. Our nighttime imagination, however, is prone to embellish, to dramatize.
I've had dreams where I walk through a building but the rooms constantly change. I go back to take another try to find whatever I'm compelled, often a nameless thing, to persue, but what was behind me changed too. Your dream seems much like that kind of thing.
I suspect you are frustrated, perhaps unconsciously, about the things in life that change and you have no control over them. While we often prefer to pass the buck--the other guy is at fault, never me--sometimes it really is someone else's fault. Women are especially frustrated by this, particularly women who have men who depend on them or control them. They change the schedules, they change the itinery, they change the priorities, they change the destinations or stops along the way. You might look for something along these lines in your life as the inspiration for your imagination. But then, it could simply be your own mind toying with you in the night. Either way, YOU are okay and very normal.

This dream is not about a car. It's about loss. The car is just a symbol. Only you know what the car represents TO YOU. If you keep losing something you consider valuable, then maybe you are afraid of losing the respect of others. Perhaps it represents your freedom, and you are being bogged down at work or in a relationship. Look to your self for the answer, because canned answers are never as accurate. But to generalize, it seems to represent loss of control over some aspect of your life.

Ask yourself what your car really means to you. What matters to you about your car? Is it an important place or person that the car enables you to get to, an important activity that it enables you to participate in? How would you cope if you really did lose your car? Your dream reflects anxiety about this. Rehearse in your mind what exactly you would do if either (a) your car really was lost or stolen or broken down; or (b) if you no longer had a car nor any way to have one, eg couldn't afford it or lost your licence. There are practical solutions that you can think through in all cases. Maybe there are gaps in your ability to handle these situations that you need to think about filling in. I think if you work carefully through the worrisome scenario of losing your car, you will resolve your worries and the dream will go away.

I used to get this a lot, never anymore though. I hated having this dream because you could actually feel the panic and fear of not being able to find your car, and then becoming frantic about it. A similar feeling to when you're dreaming about being generally lost, losing a person, etc.

Car or any vehicle symbolize your life. SO we might suggest you will get lost with your life or change to something new and very different. If the dream is really trying to inform you or warn you then it will repeat in similar way until u understand its meaning

your car is the vehicle that takes you on your lifes journey. Not being able to find it means you are feeling lost about a situation in your life. The car parks represents different situations. Maybe you are a worrier in life?
