private is by yourself, public is not

Private worship is just between you and God. It can be done privately even in a public place. Public worship is out in the open where everyone can see AND hear.

Public worship is worshipping with others in a public place such as church. Private worship is worshipping alone with only you and god present.

Public you are adding the voices of others. Private is more of a personal thing.

For me public worship is more formal and serious while private worship is more informal and familiar.

Public Worship you are doing it to gain attention. Private Worship your goal is to have God listen.

In private I can do things that come to mind such as singing, dancing, things that I wouldn't do in public. In private I can throw my whole self into my worship.

Public,........"where two or more are gathered in my name, so shall I too be there", When we gather with others, but more so that witch others see in and of you.
Private,......I feel that this is in the heart, those thing that are between you and God. We are told of a "prayer closet" and other ways in witch we are to septrate ourselfs from others and the world so that we may have a time given of ourselfs to and for God.
