Breakfast:
-branflakes
-Bannana
-melon
-cup of tea

Lunch:
-Two crabsticks
-Two ryvita slices with stawberry jam
-slices of pepper (green)
-Slices of cucumber
-A chicken slice (breast)

Dinner:
a chicken dish with mushrooms,tomato sauce (bazil),pepper,garlic,courgette and pasta


I usually have 1200 calories.

Diet critique:
1] should have at least two servings lean protein - you had three
2] should have two servings low fat dairy - you had NONE
[ are you lactose intolerant? If not, have you heard of osteoporosis? ]
3] should have three of whole grain bread/cereal/rice/pasta - you had three, ? whole grain?
4] at least three of veggies - you had two, none leafy, or cruciferous [ broc, cabbage, cauliflower, brussel sprouts, greens - help prevent cancer ]
5] two servings fruit - you had two - include berries several times a week - great antioxidants!
Suggestions:
1] daily salad with dark green leafy veg
2] cruciferous veg three times a week
3] fish three times a week
4] red meat three times a week [ unless elevated cholesterol ]
5] more whole vs. refined grains
6] low fat cheese, yogurt, milk or low fat ice cream daily
7] take a good multivitamin with minerals every day

If this way of eating (don't call it a diet--very negative connatations) satisfies you and you aren't hungry and you feel well and full, yes, it sounds very healthy to me. 1200 calories a day may be a little light, depending on what you are trying to accomplish. But it all boils down to how you feel. I have been eating between 850 to 1200 a day since March 23rd and have lost 87 lbs. Some people are all spastic about I am starving myself, but obviously I had it to lose!! And I feel great, so as long as it is a balanced way of eating---go ahead.
