Your out at a nice restaurant with your family, and you start overhearing the people next to you. You dont really understand the heart of the conversation but all you hear is a bunch of bad words ("f this"," f u", etc.). You have your little brother and sister sitting at your table. Deep down inside you want to beat the crap out of this guy for showing NO CLASS in a public place, but you instead hold in your anger and try to eat your meal. But the cursing continues, and you become more and more restless. You want to teach these inbreeds a lesson. How do u handle this???

This happened to me yesterday, and all i did was keep quiet.

As much as I'd want to give them a lesson or anything like that I must hold it in, we are not in the position to teach these fools a lesson. Paying attention to them is just going down to the inbred, unsophisticated level they are on. They either crave attention or don't care whats going on.

Call the manager or head waiter and ask to move tables and tell them your dining experience is being ruined by the loud and obscene remarks from the next table. Once you mention the dining experience thing, the person in charge will do their best to serve you because thats their job. Insist that they move you to a better location where the children will not be inadvertently exposed to such offensive language or you will be forced to leave.

Or you can do better and ask the waiter to move them to another area in the restaurant.

Either way they will get a hint or even get the whole idea/message. The wait staff/manager might have to tell them the whole reason for the musical chairs is their foul mouths.

First you did the right thing for staying civil while those stupid@$$e$ went on. Personally, I would have went to the manager to exlpain the situation and asked to be seated elsewhere that was a little more quiet or private. Just knowing your concerned about the little ones I bet you would of gotten it as well as a discount or some dessert on the house. But again KUDOS to you for remaining civil and lowering yourself to the standards of scum like that.

You tell the host or hostess that you would like a differant table as the people seated next to you are using vulgar language. Dining out should be a pleasurable experience.

Ask your server to have the manager come to your table. Tell the manager, when he or she arrives, that you are incredibly offended by the foul language coming from the table next to you. Tell them that you do not intend to return to a restaurant where such behavior is acceptable. You can bet that the manager is going to tell cursing crowd that they need to pipe down, or be ejected from the premises.

Ask for the manager and inform them since it is a family resturant they need to talk to the table because the language they are using is not appropriate

You get up from the table, walk over to theirs and ask them to please curb the nasty language as you have children who are hearing this kind of talk, thank them and continue on with your meal. Once people are confronted with something like that they will almost always oblige. Some don't realize that they are being that loud and overheard.

Here's the way I handle it. I ask for the restaurant manager to come to my table. I explain the situation and allow him to listen to the language. I then tell him he has the option to tell these cretins to watch their language or I'll be leaving immediately without paying my check.

thats tough...but odds are...if you did say something...they would probably caused a scene...better to keep quiet...and if it really bothered you...move...i mean its no one's real job to "teach" someone a lesson...you cant really go around telling people what to do...

i think that by not saying anything you were considerate of the others around you in the restaurant, and by being considerate...you were the better person

You cant get mad at people
for swearing, if they want to swear
its not illegal
yeah i know you have little kids with you
but this is where you teach them right from wrong, theyll come across this later on in life anyways. some people dont feel that some curse words are offensive to other people, and they werent directing it towards you they were just having a conversation, so get over it and eat your meal.
