I have bought things in the Habitat resale store and have given cash donations. Now I'm wondering if they build the houses for illegal aliens. Does anyone know?

Well, I hope not. We should be kicking out the illegals. If someone from Habitat in my city can't tell me that they DO NOT build homes for illegals, then I will never donate to them again. Illegal is illegal. We have plenty of poor Americans we should be helping.

As far as I know, if there are any houses being built for illegal aliens, they must be on a list of people who are going for their citizenship, have been employed for at least one year and put the same sweat equity you or I would have to in order to receive a house. Everyone is treated equally and no one steps out of line to get a house first. Everything is on the up and up. Although illegal aliens do try and obtain the same freddom we all enjoy, they must go through the process of becoming a citizen. I'm sure when the organization first started, there were loopholes but as far as I know now those loopholes are closed. You may be thinking of the field workers and their familes who are here legally.

Between drivers licenses in NY and homes for the illegals in Mi. no wonder the illegals think the streets are paved with gold. I find it amazing that they only take the men for deportation, and protect the women. If my husband and I robbed a bank and they came to the house too arrest us, I doubt if they would let me stay with the children while they take take away my husband. We all know that the father will be back in no time.

I always thought so (jimmy carter) so I have never given them a dime. I know someone who got permanently injured building one of those houses.
If all the good paying jobs weren't going away people probably wouldn't need welfare.

habitat for humanity builds house for ALL humans hence the term "habitat for humanity"
it doesn't discriminate one humans needs for another!!!!!
and illegal aliens are little green men that live out in space.
