Why is everyone so obsessed with sex?

I think it's presonally disgusting to be so obsessed. With all the people who have group sex, and look up porn and what not. I just want to know what's wrong with the world?

lol to all the people who asked if I was a virgin, YES I AM. And proud of it too. I'm fifteen years old and I plan on staying a virgin till marriage. I've had many guys offer me sex and I've ALWAYS denied. Why? Because it's wrong. It could lead to pregnancy. It disgraces my God.

Sex is a natural and very compelling part of humans. Regardless of your belief system, look at nature, you see salmon swimming miles upstream just to have their version of sex and then dying, other animals mate as much and as often as they can. The point is all creatures have a very compelling need to reproduce.

Humans seem to be a bit more inventive about it, but that stands to reason as we are bit more inventive on other things as well.

Edit:
Our culture and broadly western culture is not the only view on human sexuality. Often other cultures are (or were until coming in contact with western thought) more free and accepting of sex as natural and socially acceptable.

I think its disgusting to be obsessed with sex too. I was taught man and woman within marriage, and absolutley no discussions about it in public. Its rude and degrading to speak of intimate relations.

I am NOT saying people won't think about it and have sex. Its a fact of life.

some think of it as casual, some look up porn cause its all they are ever going to get, there is nothing wrong with the world, people just have different views on what is acceptable based on where they grew up and what people consider is, well, acceptable
