Too many people keep asking which game system they should buy and what one is better. Both of the systems would be fine to own, it is just a matter of preference of which one to buy. Chances are that people that have played the playstation since the first one will like the PS3 better because they are used to the qualitly of Sony. People say that the Xbox breaks down more often. If the one you buy does work than it is probably a great system to play.

The Xbox is well ahead in the number of games because it came out well ahead of the PS3. That doesn't give it the edge of being better. It just has more games to play. Over time the PS3 will come out with many more games, you just have to be patient.

So if you really want to know which one to buy, then decide for yourself and go check them both out and choose the one you like the best and not the one everyone else thinks is better.

ps3 is WORTH THE BUY!!!!
i'll list some of the reasons

- ps3 has a built-in blu-ray player

- ps3 has much more and better exclusives, most of them cant go to xbox 360 because it cant handle that many data(DVD- 8.5gb, blu-ray 50gb)

- online is free for ps3 not like 360

- ps3 will have over 300 games released by this spring

- when developers get used to the system, the graphics will be WAY better than 360. should take them a year to get used to it

- playstation home is coming out this spring, its a virtual community where you can hang out with friends and customize your own apartment which xbox doesnt have(FREE)

- ps3 is a true HD console. xbox 360 upscale games to 1080p and ps3 DISPLAY games up to 1080p

- built in Wi-Fi

- xbox 360: 33% hardware failure
ps3: .2% hardware failure(see the decimal? less than 1%!)

- rumble returns in spring 2008

- you can upgrade your harddrive without voiding warranties with any 2.5 HDD, which xbox cant because you have to buy a xbox HDD
(they actually have the step by step on how to upgrade it on playstation.com)

those are the ones that i know right off my mind but there are much more reason than this

Prices as of today:
ps3- 80gb: $599
60gb: $499
xbox 360(premium)- $399 (if you want the accessories that ps3 comes with, that would add up to over 700 dollars)

Ask yourself;
What do you want it for?
What games do you enjoy? Does one system support them better than the other?

Personally, i'd say if you can't live without Halo then buy a 360, otherwise buy a PS3.

hey 'enlightened one'
re: 'fan boy'
I believe the phrase 'takes one to know one' springs to mind.
'We' go for the 360s flaws because a failure rate of 1 in 3 consoles is pretty shoddy by anyones reckoning.
p.s. Ninja theory, Codemasters, Rockstar, Criterion, Square-Enix,..... just a start of some of the developers with the 'kahunas' to be making use of the extra space on a blu-ray disc rather than either compressing the game, removing features or shipping the game on multiple discs.

funny how you can tell who the fan boys are, when they mention sony's features, and go straight to xbox's flaws. bottom line, the 360 is hands down the better GAMING system out right now. with PS3 you're basically buying a computer, that sony has marketed as a console. you get all kinds of features that do little to support or promote good games right now (yea blu-ray can hold more data, but show me a game designer thats got the kahunas to make a game that big and try to make it half as decent as a lamas turd). 360 has a library of games, ps3 has a street vendors cart full of games, thats it. 360's simply DONT fail anymore, red ring of death is an old problem, that has long been fixed, and fan-boys will never let that go, cause its all they got, and it just doensnt happen anymore. as far as ps3's little 'home' feature, ok thats stupid, so basically sony's pulling another 'marketing forgery', and re-making the sims online, and calling it 'home'. thats all it is basically, a re-make of sims online on steroids. thats all sony really ever has done, just re-make the same old games again and again. microsoft has always come out with innovative, ice breaker games, and have always been that way.. gears of war (2 soon), halo 3 (both of which are some of the best online games EVER) sony is running out of exclusives, i mean just about everything is coming out on the 360 too, so, why spend the extra money to get a computer in a consoles clothing, when you can save money and get a 360, and join all the other 360 owners in probably the best year in gaming EVER. ps3 owners are missing out on the best year in gaming ever, for they have no games. shame. well hey, you ps3 owners will be able to play the racing/fighting/fantasy re-makes on your free, crappy online service. ill make bets that a microsoft game gets game of the year this year, just as it has done the past 5 years. lol, ps3, whats that? just another paper-weight

Bottom line is right now next to Wii, the Xbox is the more popular game console and has more games available. That's not to say PS3 will not overtake in games but with more interest in the Xbox there will obviously be better games produced.

Obviously the PS3 is a better machine but then again the original Xbox was a better machine than the PS2 but which one sold more and eventually had the best and most games?

Looks like the same thing is happening but in reverse this time and the game makers follow demand not the better console.

The words best console and cheap can be synonymous together. Do what I did. Get one for very, very cheap. It is a very easy process. Just go to www.letsgetitfree.com for information on how to receive one. I got an Xbox 360 and I love it. They also have PS3s and Wiis. If you want a wider selection than what that site offers then email me and I can give ou a link to some more. Just thought you might be interested. It is very easy, fast, and cheap. I highly recommend! =)
