The blood of Christ saves. It is through the blood of Christ we are saved.
Ephesians 1:7 (NIV) In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God's grace.
The reason Christ shed his blood was to give people forgiveness of their sins.
Matthew 26:28 (NIV) This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.
What shall we do then?
Acts 2:38 (NIV) Peter replied, "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit."
We know that baptism is not a work of the flesh. It isn't something we do to merit or earn salvation.
Romans 6:3 (NIV) Or don't you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?
We are baptized into the death of Jesus. Baptism is our connection to the blood.

Baptism only makes for a wet sinner! It was, is and always will be the blood of Jesus that washes away our sin. Baptism is an outward sign of an inward act of receiving Jesus as Lord!

Yes.
Seriously. We believe in one baptism for the remission of sins which is only possible because of the crucifixion of the Christ. Only His blood was pure enough to satisfy, and end, the blood sacrifice commandments of the OT law.
Does that answer your question? Or do you want more detail?

The blood is "applied" at water baptism. (Baptism remits sin, Acts 2:38) 1 John 5:8 And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one. By the blood, we are justified, reconciled, and presented righteous to God. By the blood, the curse of the law being satisfied, the purifying Spirit is obtained for the internal cleansing of our natures. In Christ, Kevin Oneness Pentecostal

Our sins are forgiven because of the blood of Jesus. Blood is the building block of life, and him losing his blood for us is a literal representation of him losing his life for us.
Baptism confirms that and is a public statement that we believe we are saved by his blood.

The atoning sacrifice [both in Gethsemene and on the Cross] of our Savior was the price for our access to the remission of sins through repentence. When we are baptized, we are reborn and numbered as Christ's so we now have access to His grace & mercy to satisfy the demands of justice.

The sin debt of ALL of mankind, past, present, and future, has been paid by The Blood of Christ. This allows any who will, to come to God in The Way He prescribes and receive His free gift of Salvation..... each individual must come to God alone and in The Way God prescribes. Not in any other way some individual "feels" is right for them... It is God's Way Only.
All who come to God in The Way He prescribes will receive His free gift of Salvation. Those become part of The Body of The Church of which Jesus The Christ is The Head. These are the ones of The True Christian Faith. Only those of The Church will enter Heaven.
