Why is that when you just try to ask a question or give an opinion, some people feel the need to call you names? Or to send you threating e-mails where they call you stupid? Doesn't anyone have any deceny & respect anymore?

Hello James,
When people are rude, & use threats over the Internet, they more than lickely have any thing else to do. If I seem rude at times I am guilty and would like someone to tell me so. Sometimes I have read the answers that some people seem to be upset. Maybe it was enmies at school, Boss jumped on them and they don't have the nerve to tell people that ticked them off during the day where to get off their case.
We turn out to be the target since they never have to see us in the face or other wise. They have no idea of what we are; including our size, is he or she armed, or even better we might be just as mean as they are.
You might hear from me on the net disagreeing with others but people that really anger me I try to just ignore them. I think most people have something that may upset them at times. But I have to say if that is the way they do it evertime they are on the net they need to find something better for them; like go to a place out there and pick on someone bigger than they are. Pick a cop to cuss at are something to threaten he or she to so maybe they can be thrown in jail. If that doesn't cool them off they can return to the street and maybe someone will wake them up with a good right to the head and when they wake up maybe they will learn that this is not the way our country does things.
Don't worry about the spelling part I am bad at it and my grammar isn't that good either.

Its simple psychology. People are big and bad when no one is in front of them, especially the person they are insulting. Actually you should feel bad for those people, some of them. Some are young and stupid, thats normal. Some however were either not parented, haven't reached true maturity,had something happen in their life that made them bitter, or they are just naturally an evil human. I've learned to let people like that go. I don't give them a second thought in my mind, despite the want to make their face unrecognizable.It's better for you mentally if you do.

thats human society, dont worry about it, its gonna happend in the internet and anywheres esle, if i cried are got mad everytime some one called me a name, i would be either in prison, are in the looney pin, when some people act that way it means that there are issues in their lifes, and its not going as planned so they need a outlet, some sounding board to yonk at like another human being, they say well since i am havin a bad day, i will spread my depressed, anger upon some one esle so they to can feel the same way i do, got it so dont worry, and also their not matured yet, so just let it slip through one ear and out the other and and brush it off ur shoulder and start fresh again ok, hope that helps .

They feel braver because it will take you a long time before you can actually track them down and beat their asses. The truth is, they are insecure cowards. I see no reason for name calling. Difference in opinions and views should be respected. People who do this like to feel good about themselves because in real life they were probably bullied or threatened. They want to feel powerful but are such cowards to pick on somebody they can't see and don't know. Shame on them for hiding behind the internet firewall!

i won't lie i am very rude especially over the computer for a simple reason i can say watever i got to say and then get off...but when they use words like "stupid" they arte immature i wouldn't call anybody stupid i would simply tell them that they are unreasonable and do not understand, whatever the certain circumstance may be. everybody is rude now-a-days and th4e problem about that is that not many people realize it...the next time somebody calls you names such as "stupid" let them know one that you are not idiot you just simply have your own opinion on things just like they do and every other person in this world...oh yea and let them know that they also need to inhance their vocabulary cuz a word like "stupid" is kindda childish suggest giving them a dictionary...lol...well hope everything goes well.
P.S. oh yea i forgot also if you have to be rude right back don't ever let people talk down to you that allows them to step all over you i should know people used to talk like that to me all the time but my favorite phrase that my mon taught me is, "yo no tengo pelo en la lengua"...it means i don't have hair on my tongue to prevent me from saying whats on my mind try go ahead i'm sure you won't have a problem anymore with people calling you stupid...besides sometimes you have to be a "*****" in order to get your point across.

People are rude on the internet because there's a monitor between YOU and THEM.
Sometimes, a person might be so saddened and depressed about their own life and circumstances that they see it fit to belittle someone else.
Is it right? Absolutely not! But I haven't figured out a way to stop it.
So I just ignore people like that.
You don't seem to be someone like that, so you get a star!

People are idiots. The ones who want to make you feel bad are the losers in their parents' basement with nothing better to do. You have to learn to ignore the morons. And people only threaten others over the internet because they are too afraid of doing something like that in real life, and doing it on the internet makes them feel empowered.

It'd part of being anonymous or hiding behind a mask, that
nasty little bugger in your psyche turns itself loose and makes
a royal butt of itself. Decency and respect have no meaning

It's sometimes they're just rude individuals or that the internet makes them anonymous.
I try to remember that there are real people with feelings reading these; not that it helps always but I am working on it as are others.

I have been wondering that for several days! I am worried that a lot of people out there must have some horrid lives to make them so angry. It makes me sad to think that so many people are that miserable.
