Who were the ones who hated Jesus? were they not people of his own religion? WHY because he explained the Scriptures correctly & that showed their teachings to be wrong. The same today Jehovah's Witnesses teaching of the Bible refutes some of the dogmas of Christendom. Consider how a well meaning but ILL INFORMED PAUL DID
(Galatians 1:13-16) . . .YOU, of course, heard about my conduct formerly in Ju′da‧ism, that to the point of excess I kept on persecuting the congregation of God and devastating it, 14 and I was making greater progress in Ju′da‧ism than many of my own age in my race, as I was far more zealous for the traditions of my fathers. 15 But when God, who separated me from my mother’s womb and called [me] through his undeserved kindness, thought good
Shouldn't you also investigate what JW's REALLY TEACH instead of what YOU THINK THEY TEACH?

After seeing some of the answers, I find it sad to think that just as the apostle Paul at first refused to listen to the truth Many of you have refused to go to WWW.WATCHTOWER.ORG & really find what we do believe in, If your going to critisize at least know the facts correctly.
We are follower of Jesus, & his father Jehovah, the one who taught Jesus everything as the first born son. Jesus manifested Jehovah's personality as if Jehovah was a man.
Jesus is the ONLY name in which man can be saved by (by virtue of his ransom Mt 20:28) (Acts 4:12) . . .Furthermore, there is no salvation in anyone else, for there is not another name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must get saved.”
Jesus is A GOD.do you know what a god is?
(Exodus 7:1) . . .Consequently Jehovah said to Moses: “See, I have made you God to Phar′aoh, . . .(moses became pharaoh's God Moses was given divine power and authority over Pharaoh. Hence, there was no need to be afraid of that)

It is true that Jehovah's Witnesses are not loved by everyone.
http://jw-media.org/newsroom/human_rights.htm
Some people hate Jehovah's Witnesses out of ignorance, or over some misunderstanding. A few may have had a bad personal experience with an individual who claimed to be a Jehovah's Witness, and prejudicially extended their animus to this entire Christian religion.
However, it seems that the majority of anti-Witness hatred is motivated by religious intolerance and bigotry. A few may even be motivated against their Christian worship by the unseen 'god of this system of things', Satan the Devil.
(2 Corinthians 4:4) the god of this system of things has blinded the minds of the unbelievers
Interestingly, such "hatred" should be expected by true Christians in this time of the end, and it actually helps identify Jehovah's Witnesses as Christ's true disciples:
(John 15:19) If you were part of the world, the world would be fond of what is its own. Now because you are no part of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, on this account the world hates you.
(Luke 6:22) Happy are you whenever men hate you, and whenever they exclude you and reproach you and cast out your name as wicked for the sake of the Son of man.
(1 Peter 4:4) Because you do not continue running with them in this course to the same low sink of debauchery, they are puzzled and go on speaking abusively of you.
(2 Timothy 4:3-5) For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the healthful teaching, but, in accord with their own desires, they will accumulate teachers for themselves to have their ears tickled; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, whereas they will be turned aside to false stories. You, though, keep your senses in all things, suffer evil, do the work of an evangelizer, fully accomplish your ministry.
It seems signficant that the relatively small religion of Jehovah's Witnesses are the ones best known for their worldwide preaching work. Yet Jesus commanded that ALL who would call themselves "Christian" perform this public work:
(Matthew 28:19,20) Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you. And, look! I am with you all the days until the conclusion of the system of things.

jesus exposed the pharisees for their ungodly way of residing over gods pep. They twisted the law bringing more prestige on them but oppression on the people. So much so that jesus seen the people as being sheep without a shepherd (lost). The TRUTH in what jesus taught of course revealed the wrongness in how the pharisees had been leading. Also bc they're priority was perceived importance and prestige. They were jealous of the many followers that jesus acquired. True christians are hated and persecuted bc of preaching the exact same unpopular message, salvation for these who footstep follows christ, and destruction of those refusing to or nt doing so completely (which is the majority)

I would like to respond to the post by FRUITCAKE:
You say you studied with Jehovah's Witnesses, then you turn around and say we don't believe in Jesus. Are you sure you haven't confused us with some other group? We definitely DO believe in Jesus, or we would not be out using our time and finances trying to help others by sharing with them the Good News of the Kingdom, in harmony with both Jesus' prophecy and command. (Matthew 24:14; 28:19, 20)
Also, as to our belief in Paul, if you go back and read the original post, you will see there it was dealing with the apostle Paul BEFORE he became a Christian, and that in fact the Scriptures are used to prove the point.
So yes we believe in Jesus, and we believe what the bible says about Paul. In fact, we believe the Bible in its entirety. (2 Timothy 3:16, 17; John 17:17)
We have never taught that the world was supposed to end in 1972 or any other year. In fact, we believe, just as the Bible teaches, that "the earth abideth (remains) forever." - Ecclesiastes 1:4; compare Matthew 5:5.
We do know before long that God will bring an end to Satan's evil system of things. In harmony with the fact that 1975 brought an end to the first 6,000 years of human history, it seemed appropriate that Jehovah MIGHT execute his judgement on this system at that time. It was never said this was definitely the case.
You may want to go back and revisit the truth about what we teach.

In 1996 when my Mom found out I was studying with Jehovah's Witnesses she went on the attack.
Even though I was a bad person at the time and she saw the postive changes I was making in my life she hated the fact it was because I was studying with the Witnesses.
My Mom would send us Christmas cards with Santa giving us the finger and inside it would say this is for you, you family home wrecker !!!
She threatened us and told me that I was being brainwashed and was joining a cult.
Later when she saw how learning about Jehovah had changed me drastically she told me that she was happy that I changed but not happy that it was because of Jehovah's Witnesses.
She was more upset that I would not be celebrating the holidays anymore. My Mom wouldn't talk to me for years.
I was cut off by my family.
It hurt but I knew I was doing what was right in Jehovah's eyes.
My Mom is better now. She see's the diffrence between my Sister and me. I am happy and have been married for 11 years and we just had a Son. My Sister is unhappy and divorced and living with a guy that she is not married to. She has three daughters and they complain all the time that they don't like their Mom, and that's sad.
So yes we are hated for standing for the truth.
We love Jehovah and his Son Jesus Christ and we know we have the truth and that's all that matters.

I agree with your statement. Some who "hate" us do it because they don't know anything about us, or have been told things, and thus we must be scary.
In answer to the person(s) who claim to know my beliefs:
We do believe in Jesus.

I do believe.."hating someone" and "disagreeing" with a particular religion..this is two differant things? We all have the right to "dis-agree?' this is what stimulates our minds and causes thoughts and developes growth on many sides and much more...it raises opinions..and questions..and people write books and things talk shows etc...but hate? i don't know about that...this must have to do with those who have no concept of argue or discussion...bye..

I do not hate JW's but have found out and continue to find out very hypocritical behavior in most. I cannot believe they think they are to receive everlasting life on a paradise earth. I have seen them slander quite a bit as of late and post meaningless rhetoric that they would accuse those who are not witnesses do. They certainly fall back on "Everyone's imperfect" too much as it's abused and overused.
I am finding out so many things about these witnesses over the past few years and it contradicts truthful Bible teachings. I used to be proud to be a witness. I am not disfellowshipped or anything but do not attend my congregation because of all the racism and hypocracy there. I love God, but these people are very questionable in their conduct; not all, but most.

No, the reason is very different. Jesus was hated because He did the will of the Father. Jehovah Witnesses are mistrusted because they deny the will or the sacrifice of God for humanity by following the ancient Arian heresy. They follow the will and teaching of a proven false prophet who instructs them that Christ is not God, nullifying His salvific work and creating another Gospel than one delivered to humanity by Christ through His Church.

Wondering Faith, you need to worry about your own children. You are just looking for something to complain about. The bible says to abstain from blood. Look up the word "abstain."
Also, you can't have tax fraud if you don't have to pay taxes. If it happens to the WTBS, it will happen to all religions.
