You're not listening to "Old Harry's game" too, are you?

Pretty good, but not a patch on the first couple of series.
The connection isn't really stated, as opposed to implied till Revelation.

It gets confusing what with Moses' snake on the pole, in Numbers 21:9, to which Jesus compares himself in John 3:14

There is no statement in the Old Testament that actually claims that the serpent was Satan, but a connection between the Serpent and Satan is strongly made. Genesis 3:14 deals with God cursing the serpent and can be seen in this light: "And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life". Some feel that this seems to indicate that the serpent had legs prior to this punishment. But if the lying serpent was in fact Satan himself (as he is called THE serpent or dragon), rather than an ordinary snake simply possessed by Satan, then the reference to crawling and dust is purely symbolic reference to his ultimate humiliation and defeat. In the New Testament, however, the most significant reference to the serpent occurs in Revelation 12:9, where the identity of the serpent in Genesis is made explicit: "The great dragon was hurled down - that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray..." This verse lends support to the view that the serpent was Satan himself. This helps to explain, as well, why Eve was not surprised to be spoken to by the serpent - it was not a talking snake, but a beautiful and intelligent (yet evil) angelic being.

That stuff about the serpent being Satan is all nonsense. The serpent is believed to have been a rare and now extinct species, Vipera garrulus tricius, one of the very few viperine species able to speak coherently (most of them just bite and have done with it). Unfortunately the last breeding pair, with brood, was destroyed in Noah's flood, not really because Noah didn't much like snakes, which he didn't, but a talking sort telling him what to do was just more than he was going to put up with, so the poor things were left behind and drowned.

There is some good news, though. Scientists in California believe they now know which fruit tree species was the one that brought sin into the world. No, it was not an apple as widely believed- it was a cross between two semi-tropical species, whose identity of course is undisclosed, for copyrighting reasons. They are working on an antidote, preferably one that can be administered orally, and sin should have completely disappeared from the planet within about twenty years, if supplies are plentiful. Mankind could soon be able to live for ever.

The only remaining problems would seem to be global warming and asteroid collision, which unfortunately may make the project somewhat pointless.

I went back to read again: It doesn"t say only that ,The Serpent was more "subtle" than any beast of field; I see more than a crawling Snake;
That was a part of the curse God placed on him;
This Reptillion creature was the One Satan worked thru, God was surely Speaking to more than a snake;The one behind the scene.
I can only find ,One place where God is directly Speaking to satan, Job ch 1 God ask a Question;
God loved Job,Satan had to have permission to touch Job"s Life; My words, Satan said I walk all over the Earth ,up and down in it;It belongs to me;
He had Dominion only because Adam gave it to Him; Eze ch 28 the Person God is addressing is King of Tyre,But, It is clear God is speaking to the Spirit Being that is behind the Throne,and here the Word of God says Satan was in the Garden of Eden; In New Testement , Jesus is tested in the Desert, by Satan , Jesus uses the same Weapon Believers use to Defeat Satan "It is Written" three times and the proper Scripture.
The next thing is Get Behind Me Satan;In Rev; ch 20 Satan is refered to as serpent-Devil-Dragon satan is bound by an angel of no name,in solitary confinement for 1000 yrs; He is loosed at the end of 1000 yrs an once again is able to rally a large Number of Men to try and Defeat Jesus Christ, at Temple Mount ,at that Time He is tossed into the Lake of Fire,that is His Destiny;Eternity has started;

Rev 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

Rev 20:2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,

it relatively is given in Genesis that the serpent became the main crafty of each and every of the beasts and God cursed the serpent that he might pass slowly on his abdomen and consume airborne dirt and mud for deceiving Eve. this implies that the serpent had a sort and walked like different beasts. So devil chosen the serpent to lie to Eve for he can not are available in his genuine terrible sort because it ought to frighten her. This shows that relatively the serpent listened to devil and each and all the beasts have been made for guy and all and sundry respected God at that factor till guy listened to devil relatively of obeying God and ultimately became sent out of backyard of Eden.

I believe that is because there is a secret to that. That part of the Genesis seems an introduction to things that actually happened after on Earth.

And this what I think happened before:
God created the world in six days (not literal human days but determined periods of time according to God), and rested on the seventh day,
so who mixed truth with lies while the the creator and angels rested?.

The kingdom of heaven can be likened to a farmer's wheat field, planted with good seed. One night, while the farmer slept, his enemy came and sowed darnel weeds among the wheat. When the first blades of wheat finally pushed up through the earth, weeds appeared alongside. Seeing this, the servants rushed to the farmer, and with distressed voices wept: “Sir, did not we sow good seed in your field? Why then are there so many darnel weeds?”

Here is another great revelation:

1.- Jesus said he disliked the Scribes for a reason.
2.- For reason of faith, there is not reason for hidding the truth about creation.

Think about this:

1.- The tree of life was in the Garden.
2.- The tree of knowledge of good and evil was in the Garden
3.- We ate of the tree of good and evil

So we were not inmortals when we ate the bad tree, because we had not ate the tree of life!
We will surely die, (it is said), because we were awaken to the fact of reasoning, learning about death. Something the other creatures do not know till today!

A dog does not die! because he has not reasoning, he does not know what death is.

But do not be discouraged by this. Jesus provided answers to that matter also. (It was in our faith, and in our adoration or wordship were we had fallen.)

Jesus-Tree of life- His words are food-fruits to the soul-of eternal life.

Lucifer turned Satan-Tree of knowldge of Good and evil-Same light which was ruling the night or ignorance or mankind.
Lied to us instead of pointing us to the light of Jesus The word.

The serpent represents a subtle beast (the beast represents waters, waters represents peoples, nations), a dragon, a constellation of Angels and peoples, the sume of adoration.

See that the actual cursing takes place with Cain started the rituals of adoration, inspiring Abel to follow, he is also alerted by his same later accuser, to resist temptation. Satan tricked him this way to kill Abel bringing a curse to the land with the authority he had achieved in God's rest day.

They killed, and the Scribes put the blame and the curse onto the elders. So the Cain offerings story is turned around.

Matthew 23:35 (talking to the Scribes and Pharisees)
so that upon you may fall the guilt of all the righteous blood shed on earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah, the son of Berechiah, whom you murdered between the temple and the altar.

I didn't think the snake was Satan, Satan came about because he was jealous of humans - the war in heaven would have been a long time after God created Adam and Eve.

(Gen 3:1) "Now the serpent was more subtle than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?"

(2 Cor 11:3) "But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtlety, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ."

(Rev 12:9) "And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him."
