What does it mean when cats kiss you? Is it a sign of affection? I just met this cat, whose owner says that he bites, but when I picked him up, he kissed me repeatedly.

When I say ¨kiss¨, I mean that he touched my lips with his, and then licked them. Maybe he likes my lip gloss.

Could be your lip gloss, something you ate, your scent, any number of factors. Sadly, it's not necessarily a sign of affection, but it's still sweet to think of them as kisses.

I choose to believe that they're kisses. Whenever I tell my cat "kisses" she kisses me on the nose. But I think she also tries to bathe me, which is weird...

what do you mean by "kiss"? if he licked you, maybe you had something on your skin that tasted good to him. cats normally show affection by rubbing their foreheads on you. that gets their smell on you and marks ownership.
