David. He was given a great gift (many, actually) and yet he made some of the worst decisions possible. He led his family into sin (Absalom- who saw David stand by and not punish a terrible wrong and Solomon- who saw his father put his desires first on too may occasions) and yet God loved him. He even called David "a man after God's own heart", but NOT while he was in sin. He had tremendous opportunities and he still wanted more (wanted to build the temple but God said no).
And yet, he is the Bible figure that I understand the most. I don't know why he did some of the things he did, but neither do I understand my own choices sometimes. I often find myself crying out to the Lord for forgiveness and restoration (not in salvation- just fellowship).
So David, the Britney Spears of the Bible!

David the murderer and adulterer...
(and a man after God's own heart!)
Or Jephtha, slaughtering his daughter rajther than admitting he'd made a promise he shouldn't have, and taking the rap himself?
Or Abraham, farming his wife out as his "sister", twice...
But for sheer callousness, I think the line "Get up, and let us go" from the Levite in Judges 19:28 takes the prize.
You'd have to read the story to get the context.

Judas. Not necessarily because of who he betrayed, although it's hard to completely ignore that. But because of how he did it. He was totally two-faced and then after he sold Jesus out, he didn't even have the goods to own it. He took the "easy" way out and killed himself so he wouldn't have to deal with it. Somehow I think he ended up having to deal with it anyway.

Do you mean a man of God or ANY Biblical figure?
If you mean any than I would have to say Satan because he deceives all of mankind to this day!
If you mean Biblical then I would have to say Judas because he was warned of what he was about to do and denied it and did it anyways.

I try to see which biblical figure actually caused the most pain, suffering, hardship and death, and that's how I determine which one I like the least.
There is only ONE figure in the bible that caused wholesale destruction, untold suffering and the obliteration of entire populations. Can you guess which one?

It would have to be Jesus, the spoiled little brat. He was looking for some food and just because figs were out of season, he killed a perfectly good fig tree that probably belonged to one of his neighbors.
