Females can lay eggs without a male, but they won't be fertilized. Wait for her to tire of them, then take them out. If you take them out right away she'll get stressed. She's laying eggs because you have lights on at night, which messes with them and makes them think it's spring time, which is mating season for her. Turn off lights sooner or cover her at night.

Yes, do keep an eye on her. I had a female 10 year old cockatiel she started laying eggs and then she died. I was very upset. I think it drains the calcium from them. Ask your vet please I think this is quite important.

hi all hens (female) birds will lay eggs from time to time this is perfectly normal don't worry she will only produce eggs if she has enough calcium to do so (they get this from he grit cuttle fish and vitamin blocks) it just seems she is broody don't stop giving the grit, cuttle fish as they need it but you would be best to remove the eggs as soon as possible be careful though she may peck you in future would be best to remove the eggs as soon as she lays them that way she wont become broody at all hope this helps

Hens can lay eggs regardless of whether there is a male present. When saying hens I am referring to any type of female bird. Males are only necessary to fertilise. Your little lady is probably broody. It's only natural.
