No, my friend used to eat ice cubes instead of food but it just tricks your mind into thinking you're eating, and your stomach into thinking there is something in it. You only lose weight if you replace food with ice.

I just like eating it. It's sort of like gum, its fun to eat for some people. The only time i dont like it is if its still in full cube form, because then its too big and hard to chomp through

Probably that they like the crunching sound. They certainly can't have sensitive teeth, I can't eat ice for that reason.
