I don't believe in Heaven or Hell, so it makes no difference to me. But I have read the Bible, and according to that, it must be pretty hard to get in those pearly gates.
So what makes you think that you are getting in?

I'm not trying to blast anyone's religion here. But I get kind of fed up of people telling us Atheists to "Accept Jesus and you will live by his side in Heaven"
I don't want to accept Jesus, I want to live my own way.

Most Christians don't automatically think that. Some do, yeah. And, well, in a way Christians should think that as they should all get into heaven. Being Christian basically means being a follower of Christ and having a relationship with him, knowing you are a sinner and asking him to forgive you. Nobody is perfect so you can't get in by just being good. I'm pretty sure I'm going to heaven, I love God, he is my everything. My purpose is to get to heaven and bring as many people with me as possible. Fancy an adventure?

Oh good question. I don't believe in it either but I will tell you a true story about a priest who abused lots and lots of little boys over many years - and bragged about it! When his time came he was TERRIFIED and begged for another priest to come and give him the last rites so that his sins would be forgiven and he would be accepted into heaven. Within seconds of the last rites been given he died with a smile on his face. In all honesty, if that's all it takes I don't think much of the entry requirements!

I myself am Pentecostal. But I can honestly say If God came back on a Sunday during Church.A lot of ppl would be left on pues. Not all ppl who claim to be Christians are. Many are hypocrites. But God doesn't ask me to be perfect,He ask that I love and testify his word. And Then he makes the decision based on my doings here on earth. And I'm not poking at just one religion ppl, I'm saying that all religions have hypocrites.I know some who go to church Wed,twice on Sundays and will still be here on this earth if They don't straighten up. I don't assume anything.God doesn't even promise me my next breath,so al I can do is live day to day and pray every day that If I have sinned that he forgives me.I hope I enter the gates.By the way.Have a good day.I am so tired of Ppl who say they are Christians bashing atheist. It is not our job to judge u.I have seen and read so many answers and questions on here where CHRISTIANS are bashing. Those are the ones who God will say I do not know you..TC

The reason for this is that many Christians think that they are the only ones who are going to some ridicules type of heaven which any sane person would have nothing to do with as it makes no sense to sit on a cloud and play a harp for all of eternity which to my mind is very immature and mindless. As an occultist I know that we all return again and again to work out our destiny as souls and to release the power of love into the world to each and every man ,woman ,and child on this very wonderful globe which we all live on .

It's because of the promises of God. Whoever has accepted Jesus, whoever confesses He is Christ, whoever has asked to be forgiven, it's a promise that we are God's child and will inherit eternal life. Christianity is a faith based on the grace of God, grace means giving us something we don't deserve. We don't do anything any better or nicer than anyone else, we simply accept Jesus. All other faiths are faiths based on law, ie what they have to do for their god, instead of what God has already done for us.

So you read the Bible, why not you try Al-Qur'aan, you might find soft and sensible.
Take care

Why do you assume we assume? We believe we will go to Heaven because God tells us so in the New Testament. I guess you missed John 3:16
"For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."
That's pretty clear to me. What part of that don't you get? But of course ultimately, God will decide who is worthy enough to enter heaven.

You probably misinterpreted the Bible. God says the ONLY way to Heaven is by accepting Jesus in your heart and believing He died on the cross for you.
It's not by good works.
It's by faith.

Try reading John 3:16. It is pretty simple to get in to heaven as a Christian.

It's none of my business who is getting into heaven and who isn't, including myself. That's God's business.
My business is to love people the way Jesus told me to. That takes up enough of my spiritual and mental energy w/o having to judge other people too.
