Why would you hate yourself? I guess that because I've never been there, I just don't understand. It would either have to be for something that you've done or something that has been done to you. If it's something that you've done, Jesus died for that. We are all scumbags, but he took our scum upon himself that we might be the righteousness of Christ in him.

If it is something that was done to you, your anger at yourself is misdirected.

I looked at your profile to see your other questions. By your other questions it looks like you really do care about Jesus. You just don't know if he's real or not.

Back in the 70s there was a man preaching on the street corner and he told me about Mat 7:7. "Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:"

I didn't want to hear it at the time, but what he said stuck with me, and it was that conversation that put me on my quest to find God. You need to go on a quest. First ask him to show you that he's real, then find a church with good people in it, and go there every Sunday. Go to the week night services too.

Good people will help you feel better about yourself, and putting yourself in a place where God can speak to you will bring you to the place where you know he is real.

Warning: There are churches where good people are rare. If you find yourself in one of those, move on. Find a different church. There are good ones out there, but there are bad ones too.

I was there at one time in my life. I didn't want God and I hated myself also. I even went into the kitchen to find a knife to kill myself, because I just wanted it to end. The only thing that stopped me is that I realized I would end up in Hell and that scared me. Church was boring. God seemed boring and out to get me.

I continued to live each day though. After several years, I met some people that were real Christians. They had TONS of joy and lots of love for others and themselves. (This is in contrast to Christians that look like they eat lemons for breakfast!) It was obvious that the reason was because of spending time with Christ. I wanted that, so that's when I asked Jesus to be my Lord.

Maybe, you don't care about Jesus, because you haven't seen Him for who He really is? That's how I was. I'm here to say, I now love myself and others. I worship God and it's great instead of being boring. God is my best friend. I don't know if you would be willing to look into it further, but if so, check out www.godlovestheworld.com. There's also a button to click if you have questions.

Another bit of advice is to seek counseling. Looking back, I wish I had done so before I got so bad I went to the kitchen.

I wish you the best.

Dear Skylabarber,

The only way to follow a really great answer like Mike M gave you is to give you the link for The Father's Love Letter.

You might think you don't care about Jesus Christ but He cares about you. I think somebody who loves you is praying that you will come to the end of your SELF so that you can start caring truly.

God bless you,

My Friend...Why do you hate yourself? What have you done to YOU that was so bad that you can't forgive yourself and love yourself. The two people you don't care about right now, are the ONLY two people who can actually love you the way you need to be loved! You might want to reconsider what you care about for now. YOU and JESUS....There's NO Better combination of Love for yourself!

You stated " I even have accomplished the walk and that i've got accomplished the stored element at diverse cases." that truly feels like me, so i will relate. (i grow to be born and raised Catholic.) the 1st element I observe is which you're truly attempting. yet understand that we are able to by no ability "get splendid with God". We could resign completely to Him. we are able to in basic terms be justified with the help of Grace, by using faith. there is not something you're able to do to earn Heaven or grow to be a holier person. you may undergo God and enable Him carry out the surgical operation in an attempt to talk. there is no magic formula to accepting Jesus. Do you have faith that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God? That He got here down from Heaven, suffered, died on the pass and rose from the lifeless? in case you have faith, and additionally you in basic terms ask him into your heart, he will stay there. No specific words mandatory. purely ask him on your very own words. so a great way as not believing you're stored; do you have faith God's notice? He stated in case you "have faith upon the Lord Jesus Christ, you would be stored." do not remember upon emotions or emotion. remember upon God's notice. God will certainly assist you to flee from sin. It will by no ability be consumer-friendly yet he will supply you the Grace. i'd recommend which you seek for out a church and Pastor that faithfully sound off the Bible and administer that Sacraments. as a great way because of the fact the melancholy and slicing your self; evidently there are some subject concerns at play that are of a scientific (possibly psychological) nature. i'd strongly urge you to seek for out a psychological well being professional so as which you would be able to get some help. Please, please try this as quickly as obtainable. in case you will choose to correspond extra, be happy to digital mail me. God bless you.

Well, I'm no Christian and I don't believe in Jesus...but why do you hate yourself?

Seriously - there is so much to live for, so much to learn, experience and discover in this world.
And if you hate yourself, then you end up hating everything and everyone else.

You have value and you can contribute something to your world.
