Muhammad and his Koran come out of nowhere. No continuity, no connection with anything. No witness or attestation of any authority.
Suddenly, late in the history of time, some six hundred years after Christ, out of nowhere, from no people and from a man of dubious integrity and some violent actions.
Hardly the accoutrements of peace and mercy, nor befitting of the grand revelation of God to all mankind, nor the vital message of salvation so needed by all.
Does it really make sense that God would suddenly reveal to one man only something that has to be taken on blind faith?
Revelation to one man only is so dangerous and so easy to corrupt or be mistaken. And how is it possible to verify? You either have to take it or leave it. You cannot measure it against a continuing revelation of God, through many, from the beginning.
The foolish claim that Muhammad is the last after the prophets of the Bible is at best disingenuous and can simply and easily be shown to be absurdly false by consulting the writings of those prophets. Christ Himself claimed exclusivity, witnessed to by the Law and the prophets, or in other words the Old Testament.
Isn't it the truth that God raised up Islam as a punishment on a corrupt and false Christendom in exactly the manner that in the history of the Old Testament He raised up oppressors against a backslidden, idolatrous and rebellious Israel in departing from the living God?
Incidentally that very, false church of that time, was called the Roman Catholic Church to which its modern counterpart, revealingly, claims a direct line of allegiance!
We have that same problem today with an even worse departure from an even greater revelation by a more corrupted and false Christendom, in a broader sense of the word, which now openly denies the Master that bought them.
Are not the times of the Gentiles is fulfilled?

"How can it be a religion of peace. Also it is a proven fact that Mohammad married a girl called Ayesha at around the age of 6 and consumated at around the age of 9."
Can you quote from Al-Qur'aan?
"The standard Quranic reference to Jews is the verse [Qur'an 2:61].[29] It says:"
Jews transformed into apes and pigs
The Qur'an refers to some Jews being punished by God and transformed into apes or pigs, in Suras [Qur'an 5:60],[Qur'an 2:65], and [Qur'an 7:166]:[22]
Can you paste verses above and below?
Now I paste for one verse from Al-Qur'aan
[2:40] O Children of Israel, remember My favor, which I bestowed upon you, and fulfill your part of the covenant, that I fulfill My part of the covenant, and reverence Me.
As well as
[2:47] O Children of Israel, remember My favor which I bestowed upon you, and that I blessed you more than any other people.
You read Al-Qur'aan with context, if you don't know how to read a book, go back to school again

Try getting your head around The X-rared Bible:
That’s right, We’re talking about the Holy Bible, a book filled with incest, rape, adultery, exhibitionism, debauchery, abortion, prostitution, drugs, bestiality, castration, scatology—all the nasty stuff!
First published to national religious nausea in 1985, this expanded edition of The X-Rated Bible excerpts and explains many of the weird dirty stories found in the Holy Writ. Now you know!

I've read the Koran and the hadith with an open mind, and have come away convinced that Allah and the God of Jesus have nothing in common.
Muhammad used nonsense words that do not exist elsewhere in Arabic, changed from first person to second person to third person without transition, and was mind-numbingly repetitive. There are other literary flaws in the Koran. If this is your standard of perfection, this explains a lot of other mediocrity in the arab world.
The Koran has no beginning and no end, because it was never meant to be written down, so there is no progression of theme or development of ideas. It does nothing towards making people think for themselves or to develop their own sense of morality. It simply tells you what to think and when to think it and what will happen to you if you do not.
Muslims are taught not to question their Koran, and not to associate with non-Muslims, because they will lose their belief in Islam if they do. They are made into mind-numbed robots through their scripture.
No I didn't read it in the original Arabic. Think about what you're saying before you make that claim. Is Allah such an imbecile that he can only be appreciated in an ancient form of what most linguists recognize as one of the most difficult languages in the world, second only to Mandarin Chinese? Apparently so.
The Torah and the New Testament, however, make their truth understandable and speak to the heart of people worldwide, regardless of their language. Truth is not confined by language. Lies hide behind obscuration and obfuscation. Take the poetic singsong away from the Koran by translating it, and the ideas it contains are revealed to be a stinking pile of garbage.

anyways, i advise all of you to look on the web , and get the book..the Life of the Prophet(may Peace and Blessing be upon him)...you will find him to really be the best of mankind...open your minds to something that is useful in your life...and i don't care if you give me a thumbs down, but you will never understand until you lift the veil over your heart, and start to read it for real...the person who posted this question, did you really read the WHOLE thing? i don't think so. i hold no hatred to jews or christians or any other religious group,.....do not give up this chance, you will regret it.

That's because the Arab people, forgetting their first love in Jesus, came to revive the old hating false messenger of old.
Just about every hate written in the OT is revived in the Quran, only in this time in terms against Christians, Jewish, and Gentiles or Infidels.
In writting these books human mind can not sync to God completely, except for Jesus. And some times the so called messenger is not a true one.
As I said before the Scriptures reveal a lot about the past, and many prophesies and secrets as well, but we are not to Judge or live our lives by these books but to learn from them, living in our own time and space.
It is for example in the light of the Holy Spirit that we know today that many rituals were nothing but acts of barbarism.
It is in the measure of justice of the message that we can discern if it comes from God or not, and that, only in the measure of justice that is in our hearts.

You can find dodgy quotes from any religious text; I think the ones in the Koran are particularly aimed at a group of Jews (I think it was in Medina) who double-crossed Muhammad.
As for the child bride thing... I'll let everyone else sort that out !

Hey, you can't go around slating other peoples religion. When you read any holy book it must be with an open mind and you must be understanding of the sort of things that happened at that time. Have you read the bible? It has some pretty nasty things in the old testament there too, and as humans have developed the bible has changed too.
