I have bipolar disorder and take Lithium, Lamictal, Wellbutrin, Abilify and Levothyroxine. Since August, I haven't been able to get a full breath most days. I'm still able to walk at a fast pace on my treadmill but it's just bothersome. It feels like I could lose my breath completely (just a paniky feeling). I don't smoke or drink alcohol and physically I am very healthy.
The only seasonal allergies I do get is this time of year I usually get hay fever like symptoms (watery eyes, contant sneezing) but I don't get the shortness of breath.
I had a workup with a cardiologist last year and everything was fine with my heart, EEG, EKG. Could you tell me what you think it is?

You should ask your pharmacist. Wellbutrin doesn't mix with many things. When I take Claritin and other allergy medicine it gives me the same feeling, but I would always check with the pharmacist before taking a new pill whether it is prescription or over the counter because you are taking so many meds.

Zara: Shortness of breath is not a symptom of allergy, but it is a symptom of asthma. The thyroid med on its own has been reported to cause chest pain, but that is not what you are describing. The other meds have not reported shortness of breath. Unfortunately, some of these docs get carried away with meds and lose track of everything you are taking. I would schedule an appointment to (1) review all medications and have a serious discussion about their interactions as well as interactions with certain foods (2) at the appointment have a test of lung function, you might even want to invest $20 in a peak flow meter so you can test your own lung function. It might be that low level anxiety is causing the short of breath feeling, and then the shortness of breath causes more anxiety and you end up in a sprial situation.

Manic Depression/Bipolar Disorder is an inherited mental disease caused by a continual underproduction of serotonin as a result of a defect in the 27th lower right-hand side of the X chromosome. It is a recessive gene passed through the mother and can only be defeated if the Lord reorders the genetics to make it work properly again.

If God created an X chromosome perfect from the foundation of the world and if the devil because of the generations of sin, mixed up the amino acid base that changed the genetics, God can change it back the way it was. The devil is not more powerful than God. If Satan can mess up genetics, who do you think can fix it? Would we dare believe that? Why don't you give it a shot. I think you should say, "God, change the genetics" and expect Him to do it. And God did it!!!

But what if you don't ask God? What if we withdraw in unbelief, doubt and fear? Do you think we would get that kind of a healing? No, I want to be just like a kid. Father, I want a lollipop. What does the Bible say? Except ye be converted and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 18:3 Instead of saying, Father, I want a lollipop, just ask for your genetics to be made whole.

We choose what we shall have daily: blessings or curses, life or death. read Deuteronomy 30:19

Manic depression is a genetic defect disease. In the X chromosome, on the 27th section, you will find Manic Depression/Bipolar Disorder on the chart. The specific defective gene that produces it can be identified by science.
It is a recessive gene passed down through the mother. This is a rollover of genetic defect. This defect produces a reduction in the secretion of serotonin. Drugs do not solve problems. In fact, drugs can interfere with dealing with root problems because they mask the real issues. I'm not saying get off your drugs. Only do that under a doctor's supervision so you can be detoxed gradually.

Speak to your genetic defect daily. "In the name of Jesus, I declare my genetic makeup to be made whole."

Now, if God isn't first in your life, you need to get Him first. If God is first then everything else falls in place. When you know the Lord "anxiety and fear" has no hold on you.

Shortness of breath is a "spirit of fear." Fear is not just an emotion, the Bible calls it an evil spirit. Asthma has nothing to do with what you breathe. For over a decade it has been known to be caused by fear, anxiety and stress. John Hopkins University research teams in 1996 confirmed this finding. So your shortness of breath goes right along with your bipolar disorder.

Autoimmune diseases are primarily the result of an unloving spirit producing feelings of not being loved, not being accepted, self-rejection, self-hatred, and self-bitterness coupled with guilt. In fact, it could be said that autoimmune diseases are primarily a self-hatred disease with a fear-anxiety-stress rider attached to them. The body attacks the body because the person is attacking themselves spiritually.

This is a high price to pay for not loving yourself. God told us that we are fearfully and wonderfully made. God told us in Genesis at creation "and it was good." He called everything good including you that He created. Sin, whether it be our sin or ancestral sins have caused many diseases. In Proverbs 26:2 the Bible tells us "......a curse, without a cause, does not come." Disease is a curse. Sin is the cause and God forgives sin. The Bible tells us "perfect love casts out all fear, because fear has torment." God is perfect love.

How can you say that you are not good or perfect when God says that you are? Three things you need: (1) Peace with God (2) peace with others (3) peace with yourself. The same goes (1) Love for God (2) Love for others (3) Love for yourself.
