You eat the seeds. You can eat them plain or put them on a salad or fruit salad.
It can be tricky getting them all out... the darn things are hard to peel. I usually bite the bullet and use a knife to start it, which cuts some seeds but makes the whole process of getting them out much easier.

I don't remember where I read this, but this is an easy way to get to the seeds: Score the skin/rind lightly, enough to break it open. Fill a bowl with cold water. Submerge the pomegranate in the water, open it and gently work the seeds off the membrane. Eventually all the seeds will be in the water. Dispose of the skin/rind and membrane; strain the seeds in a colander or strainer. I keep them in a plastic bag in the refrigerator or freezer to munch on or add to recipes. Search for “pomegranate recipes” and you’ll find many ways to use them. Sometimes I eat only the flesh; sometimes I eat the whole seed—good fiber.

The best way to get the seeds out is to cut the poms in half - then pick up one half and use a wooden spoon to vigorously tap the top of the fruit over a bowl: the seed will come down fairly easily and will not be broken.
Beware it can get a bit messy with the juices - but it's also a great tension reliever! :-)

I love putting the seeds (the only part you eat) in salads, or just on their own! The best way to get to the seeds is to cut it in half and use a large spoon or a small stick and hit the sides. Be careful or you'll have them all over the kitchen...:)

you peel the fruit and eat the seeds inside, many recipes use pomegranates, great for a quick snack, the seeds do stain clothes, in fact pomegranates where used to make dye.

I've always just cut them in half and picked out the little red pods that are inside for eating. It may seem like a lot of work but the crisp taste is worth the effort, yum!

My friends and I love to cut them in half and eat the seeds [the only edible part]. But you need to be careful, their juice does stain clothes and other things (i.e. the carpet). I really haven't tried them any other way. All I know is that they are really good for you and they taste good as well....Good Luck

Pom's are a really good fruit IF you can enjoy them-- due to their labor intensity. There are little, well, they look like seeds on the inside just under the hard serface of the fruit, but don't eat the seed itself, just kinda squeeze the juices out with your teeth and spit the seed out. make sure you have plenty paper towels around cuz they're like grape juice they'll will stain anything! Good luck!
