Mine got REALLY hyper today and it's only the second day she's been home. Do you think this will affect her stitches?

They don't put those things around their necks

well that sounds about right....they heal really quickly. running around won't hurt them, but if you see her lick, or chew on her stitches, you need to stop her. she could pull them loose, and then be in a world of trouble. she'll be fine :) also, make sure she uses the bathroom....number 1 and number 2.

When I got my cats fixed, I just kept them in my room (since it's small, less room to run/go nuts in) for a couple days. They were still running around and jumping on things and they were fine. It's a much better sign that your cat is feeling normal, rather than acting depressed. Jusat check the stitches and make sure they're not leaking or anything.

Your ASPCA should have a feral cat spay/neuter and release program. Local Hardware stores should sell Have-a-heart live traps that you can get and place outside. Catch the momma cat and if you take her to the ASPCA they will spay her for free or next to nothing and tag her ear so people know she has been fixed, then you can re-release her into the wild. IF they don't have a program they should be able to direct you to someone that does.

Our kitten, Stryker, started playing that very day. For a photo of her when she was that young, see my Yahoo 360 page! I am racefan63 there, too. She is a bundle of joy! Hope yours is too.

i have a cat too and i also have to spray it every day. it might affect her stitches but my advice would be to call your local vet.

Good Luck

No, just keep that thing around her head until her stitches are healed. That way, she won't open her wounds.
Our cat was energetic soon afterward.
