After I had my son I thought that was enough kids for me! So..I ended up getting a tattoo Ive been wanting starting from the side of my rib cage down to my hip bone. I have a couple of stetch marks but the tattoo is no where near it so Im thinking it wont stretch and be distorted? Here is a picture of my tat. Mature answers only. Thanks!

Nice tattoo. The tattoo will be fine now but you just never know what will happen if you have another child, depends on how big you get. Definitely use Palmers Coca Butter, it works wonders. But like others said, if you want a child, don't let you tattoo stop you. You look in good shape so I think you'll be fine but you can always get it touched up after you have your child.

first of all, off topic, NEVER get tattood while pregnant. your baby feels EVERYTHING. but back to the topic. ive tattood a few women before they were pregnant and then they came back after the birth. i gotta be honest, where your stars are, they will stretch some. but stretch MARKS arent usually where your tattoos are. every woman is different. all i can say is good luck and keep that thing covered in the creams to avoid stretch marks.

if i had to guess i would say that it probably would stretch. do you have a picture of your pregnant belly that you could compare it with? i am not getting either of my ribcages tattooed until after we have finished having kids for that very reason. i would hate to have an awesome tattoo stretched out and end up looking like a gross blob.

that's a really pretty tattoo...anywho i wouldn't worry about it too much because it isn't directly on the stomach, i know when i was pregnant i didn't have alot of stretched skin on the stomach, it was more in the hip area...i would be sure to put cocoa butter on it day and night though, they also have other creams you can use...carol's daughter has a good one called sexy belly, i wish i knew when i was pregnant though!! anyway good luck!!

Love the tattoo...it will not stretch right now...but if you get pregnant again it might. Depending how much of a belly you get, some women get a huge belly and they look like they are having twins when they are not and some women don;t even look like they are pregnant. So it really depends...

EVERYTHING stretches when you're pregnant.
However, it won't necessarily be distorted forever, if your skin is stretchy enough (which it should be, since you're young) it will go back to looking like it did before once you loose the baby weight.

talk to the artist who did it, you don't want to get it touched up now, if you are thinking of having another baby. but while you are pregnant keep it lubed up with cocoa butter lotion for stretch marks it will help. your artist will know how to help you the best.
