Those nuns are sick.
That having been said, the fact is that most Christians will give aid to non-Christians. This report is an exception.

How can you be surprised at this? This is normal for revealed religions seeking converts. It is disgraceful, shameful, disgusting and historically proven as successful.
The phrase "sing for your supper" comes from missionary soup-lines.
All U.S. food aid should be free from all missionary influence but in many areas the missionaries are the only ones in the area and organized enough to help. But you should not expect decency or respect from them.
Every missionary I ever met (and I have spent 27 yrs in third world countries flooded with all sorts of chrsitians taking advantage of misery) acted as if they get paid a commission for each convert. They have the scruples of insurance and used car salesmen. At least with free and desperately needed food and medicine for they have a worthwhile, if overpriced, product.
Take heart, even the Catholic Church recognizes that contracts made under duress are not valid.

A tiny few might .. who don't understand Jesus teaching at all. However it is true to say that christian organisations to provide a very large amoung of practical help in disaster-struck places.
Talking about christian missions in muslim lands though - its not food that helps people convert. There is often too much fear for them to convert except when they realise the gospel is really true (since there are fanatics who do try to prevent conversions by harsh violence). The power is the power of God - "not by Power, not by Might, but by my Spirit says the Lord" - e.g. the powerful miracles in the name of Jesus. Witch doctors, occult, fakirs and mullahs cannot help - but Jesus can. Can your Allah recreate body parts ? Our God can and does (but only in the name of Jesus, since God has said that name must be honoured) !

Unfortunately it happens more than people may think. Our local food bank won't accept donations from anyone outside their beliefs. Just another form of genocide approved by certain "religious" factions. And Bush felt the need to start a Faith Based Initiative so these types of people can further their reign of terror & victimization.

Those nuns are lucky the people didnt kill them and take the food. If i was starving to death and a couple of missionaries stood in between me and my food they would be in pieces

It shouldn't be that way. I support ministries that take food to the hungry, medicine to the sick and maybe tell the people Jesus loves you as they give out the supplies. It should be strictly by choice if the receiver wants to listen to a Gospel message after being fed.

excuse me!! NUNS are of the papacy!!!
Christians missions give out the food and aid.....and share the word of God...it is not a requirement...the village people will ask why people are being so kind and the answer would be about sharing the Love of God....

No that is totally up to the individual if they choose everlasting life or eternal hell.
That is between that sole individual and God.
Same thing as anyone else, a person can say they are saved, but that is determined by god not humans.
God sees all.

That's terrible. I don't know which I feel more: Sadness, or anger?
Even so, I keep it in perspective: How often does this sort of thing actually happen? Out of ALL the millions of missionaries there are and have been, how many of them have pulled crap like that? I'd say less than 1%.

You can't force someone to convert - even if they say they've converted (so they can have food), it doesn't mean they really have. Jesus said in the end people will say "Lord, Lord" and he will say "I never knew you".
It's all about the heart.
