Have a wee cat that keeps popping in the cat flap whenever am out and steals my cat's food! - have seen it (gorgeous wee thing) and chased it, my hubby has chucked water over it (didnt deter it) and am beginning to think its bullying my cat. He is a big tom who usually fights with anything but not this one - I think it could be a girl. Truth is although I would love to re-home, hubby not keen and also just dont know if it belongs elsewhere and is coming in for second....or thirds...

I do lock the cat flap up at night though but as I am out all day at work its unfair of me to shut my cat in as he likes to wander freely and come back in for a snooze or when it rains etc.

Advice greatly appreciated.

You can get a type of catflap which only lets cats wearing a magnet on their collar in. They might be suitable for your problem.

One of the neighbor's house cats comes over to snack at the food bowl I have out for the feral cats, but it's no big deal. Unless you're feeding medicated food, I don't see how a small cat can make much of a difference on your cat food bills. Personally I'd let the cat come in and snack, she's not causing any other problem and she seems to enjoy being around your cat. Other than your husband, is there any reason not to just let her come and go?

If you can catch the cat, try keeping it for a while until the original owner can be located. You can take a picture of it and make copies to post in vet's offices, on corners, etc. There might be a reward if it was someone's pet.

Or it might be a stray. This is most liekly if it's dirty, has fleas/mites, and is underweight. You can try finding a humane, no kill shelter to bring it to.

i admire this video and this cat. I observed this a pair of weeks in the past and surely laughed. It jogged my memory of "The Cat Who........." books with the help of Lillian Jackson Braun. in this series, Yum Yum, the female Siamese cat, is often stealing pencils, pens, and something that shines and hiding them decrease than rugs or in the back of sofas. i think the cat burglar has introduced domicile 1000's of things.
