Giving me the run around, dodge will not tell cummins which fuel injectors, and cummins said there machine will not tell you which ones are bad,.I am still under the cummins warrant which is 90 days. Will they or should they replace them? This is twice it happened on the fuel injectors and the truck is only a year old. Can anyone help!!!

you can tell which injectors are the problem. if you are having the injectors replaced the second time under warranty you have a serious problem. you are using farm grade fuel or bio, or you are using an aftermarket fuel filter. all aftermarket fuel filters void the cummins warranty no questions asked because they do not meet quality standards. they let way too big of particles through and thats what wears the ball seats in the injectors. you can try another dealer, but it will probably not help. the dealer does not make the call on cummins warranty. cummins has to authorize almost all repairs under warranty. they have all of the warranty history in their database, and when the tech calls to get the repair authorized and order the injectors, they will look at the history. they will also ask for information from the cummins engine controller about idle time, and engine load data. if they see previous replacement in the history under warranty in less than a year they most likely won't give another set.

what do you mean 90 days? cummins carries a 5year 100,000 miles warranty on the engine.if the truck is only 1 year old it should still be under warranty till 100k. how do you know it is your injectors? has it been diag. by dealer? are you burning farm fuel? if thats the case it will not be warranty, if you have hopped it up it will not be covered. i have not seen but maybe one injector problem on the diesel engine. what year is it? the newer trucks call for low sulfer fuel.and the dealer should know which injectors are bad ,find out if they have a certified diesel tech in store. cummins and chrysler work hand in hand as a general rule. i cant see the dealer giving cummins a hard time on this. are you changing your fuel filter regular between 12k to 20k?if all this dont work call hotline 1-800-992-1997 with vin and explain your problem
