You will need to put down the University's code. Actually, if you have several colleges in mind, put all of them on the FAFSA. All this does is send your information to the financial aid office so that when you do choose a college, your financial aid information is already there.

Yes, you should complete the FAFSA form if you will be attending the Spring 2008 semester or quarter. If you will be attending the Fall 2008 semester or quarter, you need to complete the FAFSA form in January or early February. List all the schools that you have applied to for admission. After you have received the admission letters along with the financial aid packages, make your decision on both which school you liked the most along with the best financial aid package without student loans. I am including some free resources on the web to find money for college below. Good luck!

I would put down every university's code that you have applied to.

You probably won't get acceptance letters until April. They need to start processing your financial aid award letter a lot sooner than that. If you do not put their codes down your financial aid will be delayed. If you do not get accepted then just take their code off the list later.

You should list every school on your fafsa you are even considering! Putting them down doesn't mean you are, or have been accepted yet. It simply means you are considering going there. You don't even have to have applied yet. Your financial information will be sent to that school, letting them know you are interested. They may even start sending you information about their scholarships...
Just do it!! :-)

Don't send the FAFSA to a school but go ahead and complete the forms.

You can add schools at any time.
