Think of the signs that you see at every zoo in the world... "PLEASE... do not feed the animals."
That's it... do not feed the animals. Do not reply to such e-mails. It is your ego (in the sense of 'self-importance') which compels you to respond. Here are your options...
1. Give in to self-importance.
2. Do NOT give in to self-importance
3. ELIMINATE self-importance.
( I recommend #3.)

I commend you on your response. Been there.
see 1 Ne 16:2. I've found that there are some people who have allowed themselves to be surrounded by contention & vitriol that they have lost the 'light'. It is disconcerting, discomforting, and disturbing to have any contact with them. This is where 'turning your other cheek' comes in handy - that way you're already facing the other direction as you walk away. I understand your anguish. I've lost friends merely because they discovered which church I belonged to. I've had friends who chose a different path and could no longer speak civilly to me because of their own anguish.
On a brighter note, this pain you feel is a credit to you... and gives you experience. I think the same experience in it's own measure as our Savior and Father in Heaven experience when they are spurned and blasphemed. It saddens you, but look to the thing which bring joy and purpose in this life.

I've received hate mail from Christians before that really, really appeared to have been written by a patient in a mental health facility.
I've made a little scrapbook out of them as a homage to insanity and ignorance.

Why not block them, Why fuel their fire. It takes two to keep
some thing going.
I recall in the movie "Without Limits" a line said, " If you believe in something people are always trying to talk you out of it, if you believe in some thing people around you are neverous."
We must learn how to, agree to disagree. And as for die hard radicals forget it. Get into the solutation not the problem, and I got a kick out of Willie Nelson's quote, If there is no solutation there is no problem.--------So lighten up and let it go
No one can do this to you unless you allow it, and that goes for all of us. Blessings.

There's very little point in trying to argue with closed minds that don't respect the beliefs of others. Block that address from your Email!

religion is mythology. the fear and defensive factions of religion are introduced and enforced by the religious teachings of their religious leaders to help ensure a following and a survival of their belief system, which not so coincidentally ensures the continued income and power of that religious leader. it is a matter of strategy to create a defensive combative mindset within the belief system for self preservation.
primitive humans within that mindset are easily swayed.
Santa is returning soon, are you prepared?!

Some people have no life and have nothing better to do then sit there and argue with people over the internet all day long, so just flat out ignore them, it kills their fun.

I have seriously thought about letting people have access to my email just for this reason. Some people are jerks. I am sorry they feel like they can come into your world via email and act UN Christlike.
If your block them, they can't reach you anymore.

Truth requires no defense. The mistake is in getting defensive. Just report harassment and leave them to their own beliefs.

Better by far to ignore them. If the emails continue, mark them as spam or put them in the 'junk' category where they belong.
