To those responding about pets and loved ones, I too believe that there are people and pets sent to be in our lives to comfort us. I like to think of my cats as a little bit of heaven sent to earth.

One of my personal experiences with angels:
When I was in the process of a bitter divorce and custody battles, I had given up on life. My ex had taken my children and it was around Christmas time. I was alone.
I decided through my depression that I couldn't go on any more. I had turned on the gas on the stove and figured I would just go to sleep and never wake up.
Then the phone rang and a stranger asked me why I was trying to kill myself. I was in shock that anyone would have knowledge of what I was doing - much less care.
He said to me, Don't you realize that if you take your life, your daughters will think you didn't love them or care enough to see them when they grew up? How will they know you love them if you kill yourself?
As he was talking, I was shutting off the stove and opening windows.
God intervened through His angel.

I've always believed that we have guardian angels, even during more than 30 years of atheism. There have been several moments in my life when I was sure I had encountered one. But none was as profound as the experience I'm now sharing with you. I feel certain that an angel stepped in and saved the lives of my two children.
On July 9, 1999, our area was hit with a devastating series of thunderstorms that tore the roofs from several homes, downed trees and wires, and left us without power for days. This happened in the late evening, just around nightfall.
For most of that day, however, the weather was beautiful with no sign of things to come. My two youngest sons and I were at my mother's house, visiting with my stepfather while she was having her hair done and getting groceries.
The boys were in the sandbox, and as I watched them play I glanced at the 60 foot pine trees that edge my mother's property. For no reason at all, I set my sights on one particular tree just as I heard a voice tell me, "That tree is going to fall on the sandbox."
I became uneasy, and try as I might I couldn't shake the feeling that this tree was, indeed, going to fall. But when? And how?
As the day wore on, the sky darkened, and it was evident that a severe storm was approaching. My stepfather drove me home to shut windows, and when the kids and I returned to my mother's house they ran straight for the sandbox. Terror gripped me, for I remembered what I had heard and understood it's meaning.
I screamed for the boys to get away from the sandbox and ushered them into the house. Moments later, a fierce storm ripped through, lasting only minutes, but the crashing outside was awful to hear.
When things had calmed down, I went outside to survey the damage. A large tree lay in front of the Pentecostal Holiness church across the street, my neighbors were missing part of their roof. And then my eyes fell on a sight I couldn't believe. There, laying in the sandbox, was the top 20 feet of that tree.
True story.

Everyone of us has angels and guardian angels who guide and protect us. They are there if we worry about what is happening to us and we can always ask for their guidance. Guardian angels do protect us from negativity and if you have been playing around with the negative side of spirits it is quite possible that you do have a negative spirit following you. Your angels know when you need protection and will usually intervene when needed.

No angel in the sense of a religious being with wings has ever saved my life. But I do consider my uncles ex wife to be an angel - when I was 14 I fell off the back of a truck when my family was camping out and temporarily lost the use of my lower body - if it wasnt for my aunt I would have given up - it was too painful. So I do believe that some people are sent into our lives to act as angels - but I dont believe that actual angels interfere with our daily lives.

Yes as a matter of fact, I am aware of a couple of them who are always there, since that time that my family was immigrating to the US and I had failed in all of my medical entrance tests. My family was severely disappointed and my mother told me that I had destroyed the only dream she ever had. I seriously entertained killing myself and felt a warm loving presence of two angels who wouldn't leave my side until I got through the very rough next few months. The feeling was very tangible and has stayed with me since.

I think Angels may have and we never knew it, consider this as to the reason why.
Hbr 13:2 Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.

I once tripped while at a boxing match and a Hispanic ring girl reached out and stopped me from banging my head on the seats in front of me.
Her name was Angelina.
Coincidence? I don't think so.....
What an angel she was.
