I'm an animist.
I think that Buddhism or Shinto would be the closest to what I belief, and the followers of these religions would probably accept what I believe with the least amount of hostility.
Christianity is the most vehement in hostility against me, in my experience. This tends to be from the followers of the evangelical churches, but I'm noticing an increasing number of Church of England Christians becoming hostile - especially from the "happy, clappy" churches.

I am a Christian for my religion. Not sure of who be close or nearest to what I believe. Many religions believe in God so that makes them near to what I believe. I guess the religion most "vehement in hostility" would be the evolutionist as they not seem to believe there is a God and many seem hostile toward those who do believe in God. Yes, we must consider evolution as a religion as the people who believe this talk more of it in the religious section and not in the science section.

My beliefs most closely coincide with Messianic Judaism. I'm a Christian Sabbatarian...I believe in Christ and the sanctity of His Holy Blood as my atonement for sin but as well, I embrace the Laws as given to Moses on Mt. Sinai, as well the food laws, the health laws, marriage and parenting laws and etc. Where we have been shown mercy we will show mercy, we we have been forgiven we will forgive, as He has striven with us so we should tolerate others and keep His Commandments to love one another and Him above even ourselves. The most hostile religion on the planet is of course fanatical Islam. Most Muslim people are peaceful. However, any form of fanatical belief system is dangerous. The most dangerous faction on the planet is atheistic in nature. Communism sees religion as a threat and that makes any faith system a target so while atheism as a political force is passive at present...that will not remain the case always or for long. It is lack of belief in a divine creator that the world will suffer from...forfronted and paving the way will be the wild men of Ishmael. Love in Christ, ~J~

I'm a Norse Pagan. In general most of my friends are either Pagans of some other stripe, no religion at all, or Christian. As for who is most hostile, really every religion has their fair share of nutjobs and I have encountered hostile Christians, hostile atheists, hostile Pagans, hostile Satanists, and hostile Asatru (one reason I don't consider myself Asatru). Jerks come in all forms, no matter what their religious affiliation.

My practice of religion most closely resembles non-denominational, but I grew up Catholic and later in the Baptist church. I am not fond of Middle Eastern religions mainly because of all the hostility there has been since biblical times, long before the war in Iraq. I find it ironic that they are considered a peaceful religion.

I'm a non-theistic Pagan, so any of the neo-pagan traditions would be pretty close.
So would Buddhism or Taoism.
I suppose the ones most hostile would be Abrahamic fundamentalists. They're hostile to all other religions though, it's part of their exculsionary theology.

Well we all should live together in peace, that goes without saying. If only respect each other, that would be a good thing. I believe in spirituality, chakras. What goes on deep inside your soul, the earth, wind, fire, water, elements. I believe something is up there, it's my own higher power, which is devine, within the spiritual realm.

I believe that people who are nearest to me are Christians- not religious people. These people believe in the power of God in their life. They live love and do not just talk about it. Now there may be people who are not Christians but who fit this description. Basically, genuine love knows no barriers or religions.

My people come from shamanistic beliefs. I think that's where I belong to. Though most of them are now converted to Buddhists.
I grew up in an atheist society, which is now coming back to their Orthodox Christian roots.
My husband is a Witch.

I am a Catholic and was very close to my father who recently died and his side of the family but they were all Protestants(non catholics) I don't have anyone that I show hostility to because religion is a personal thing and shouldn't be preached to anyone.
