...yeah...he's hanging around with a bunch of insecure, male phobic (everything) guys who find solace in being "Mr Macho" and think "they" have the corner on masculinity... all "they" are , are bruts who need to grow up....

Oh yes, my hubby does as well. He is always tougher, cool and business like at work. He works in trucking - lots of men and he has to act like macho man a lot with those guys!
You can't mix personal life and professional.
I act different as well. When you are at work you are focused on doing a good job and making money so you can have that nice life at home.
You would never want him acting personal at work anyway would you?

Take care!!

The only person who can answer that is him. But I totally understand what he means. Like in my case, I'm more at peace with work, even though it can be very stressful, because at home, my parents fight a lot and I don't have peace of mind there. Not to mention, they ask for so many things from me, being the breadwinner. And it stresses the heck out of me. At least with work, I focus on just one thing, and also, my boyfriend and I work together, so it really helps me. I'm more at ease at work and more myself than I am at home. I also easily lose my temper when I'm at the house because of the circumstances.

Yep. As a guy in a work force of primarily men for over 20 years, we guys act different at work than at home. Macho stuff, crude behavior etc. is accepted at work but not at home.

Yeah, construction workers are usually tough and dirty minded. So there he probably acts all manly and different to avoid being picked at and at home he is probably just laid back, either that or he feels more comfortable at work because he is around guys and different at home because you have more expectations?

Uhhh yeah. Don't ever go to his work. God won't even forgive them for the things men say on a construction site. I used to be there. You gotta bunch men working with their hands and the brain just rotting in the skull. Maybe it's the sun or dirt, but it seeps into your brain and pisses out your mouth: Sexual conquests, f-bombs every third word, etc....just don't go there.

Yup, two entirely different environments. He's probably "woot!" 'ing with the other guys at the hotties that pass by to fit in with the environment. I wouldnt worry about it, so long as when he comes home, he is good to you.

Becaue he works with a bunch of men. When you do that it generally becomes a boy's club and we all act differently when where surrounded by "the boys"

Most people have two personalities, one for work, and one that is more relaxed, for home. I have had a lot of people tell me that, I know I do!
