I don't know. I'm American and I don't drink coffee. But I guess it's because we stay up so late and we're tired in the morning and we need a pick-me-up.

Alot of Americans have busy busy days. many people start their day off early in the mornings and sometimes need a little extra caffine to keep them awake and alert for their early start.

Although many americans are addicted to tha stuff there still are some who just dont drink it at all.

Caffiene. If you look at other cultures around the world.. they all have their little caffiene intakes in some form or another. For the younger generation primarily but the older as well, Red Bull and other energy drinks are taking over.
