alright, im not sure how to describe this, and it hasn't always done it...

When i highlight something in Word, and press 'Backspace", it moves the currsor to the front of the selection, but doesn't remove it...

it does the same thing when i higlight something and try to type something else in place of it, it just adds the text to the front of the selection....

any ideas what is wrong / how to fix this?

Click Tools>Options and then the Edit tab and set the Editing options the way "you" want them.

After highlighting, press theSPACEBAR.

You're right, an easy fix! I used to have a "hotline" to my hubby for such questions, he would patiently answer every time until I finally caught on. Thank God for a great hubby, who is also my bestest friend & computer wizard.

Peace be with you!
