First, it's okay to look at SOME pornography. It should not, however, take over your life. Try to set limits - you don't need to go cold turkey. Use it as a treat if you go a certain time without looking at porn, or maybe Friday evenings will be Relax With Porn night.
If you continue to have trouble with porn as a significant focus of your life, you should see a mental health professional. This is a real addiction that some people struggle with. They can help you with medication or behavior modification. Perhaps there is some underlying issue that is driving you to porn. A counselor can help you greatly. Don't think you're just some evil person because you can't lay off the porn. Like alcoholism, this is a real problem that is more than just willpower or being a good person.

I have never had a problem with this, but I have heard that this can be a very devastating problem. You need to see a counselor preferably Christian (don't worry, If they are not new to Counseling, then they have heard this before.)
Also you need to find someone who you can call when you feel tempted, someone who can talk to you until the moment passes (and I DON"T mean a 1-900 number.) You also need to take out change ALL areas of your life that make pornography possible, this includes NO Internet if possible. Or you could just have a friend or partner check your comp. once a week and hold you accountable to it, sometimes just knowing someone will 'bust you' is deterrent enough.
I will pray for you. Blessings!!

Send me an IM and share
I am glad to see someone of faith admitting their human nature...Most people supress their urges and then eventually do so in secret...It is the Catholic priests that have the greatest difficulties and the worst perversions....Just ask Catholic Crusader. He knows perversion better than any atheist on here.
The whole using a computer that won't allow won't work...I can get into porn sites through any block available because half of them are from out of the country and not regulated.
I think you should try not believing in God and seeing if you can stop for yourself...Then at least you will not feel guilty if you do it again. I know how sinning again is a worse sin to people.

We all have struggles as Christians some of us have different issues ...but I think the first thing you need to do (because the battle starts in the mind) is get rid of any books, movies, any toys, any magazines pertaining to pornography ..secondly if you sit up late at night watching it either go to bed or read your bible ..thirdly if you have any friends that entertain pornography watch it etc ..cut your ties until your strong enough to hang out with them or change friends altogether ..sometimes you have to change what you're doing you can't just pray and expect things to change ..you have to change your thinking and sometimes your environment

Find a way to occupy your time in less solitary pursuits. This is what is meant by avoiding the "near occasion of sin": if you know certain times/events will make you more prone to indulge in your weak unwanted behavior (as I gather from letter), you need to schedule other events, volunteer, etc. and get away from that which makes you feel miserable, ultimately.

Hmm... I can give a few tips that have been pretty effective for people including myself.
1. Try looking for some things that'll draw your attraction away from porn like a nice hobby and stuff.
2. Develop a respect towards women. Guys with less dirtier minds tend to have a healthier respect towards women.
3. Pray and ask others to pray for you.
I often read this from many Christian advisers.

You're not alone in this........
Christian or not, all men have a deep-seeded affection for porn. Our society and the sinful nature of man is to blame.
Our job as Christians is to go through the open door that God will open up for us when the temptation arises.

primoa, like it or not,you are assuming, and assuming incorrectly.I have nothing against porn, but it is something that has never aroused me in any way,at all.I find it rather silly actually.I mean, wtf? It's a PICTURE.A picture does nothing for me,never has.Its a picture, not a real life person.I see no stimulus in a picture.Only real, live women
