I am talking from trails toward mountains and/or seashore of about 3-5 hours. Mountains: mainly hiking on the tops, scenic views. Seashore: rought and rocky.

I will have the time for only 2 or 3 of those hiking trails.

Mountains: Hong Kong Island South - Tai Tam Country Trail

Scenic Views - Wong Nai Cung Reservoir, Tai Tam Resevoir, Repulse Bay (from the mountain)

Bus Routes - No.6, 66, 61 from Central to Repulse Bay Road

Get off at the gas station beside Hong Kong Parkview right after the tennis courts. Walk up the stairs beside the gas station (Shell) and you will find the Tai Tam Reservoir Road. The entrance of the Tai Tam Country Park is next to the Hong Kong Parkview main entrance.

From this hiking trail you may walk all the way to Stanley and it takes about 6 hours. The park covers more than 1,500 hectares from Wong Nai Chung Gap in the west to Tai Tam Road in the east.

Seashore - rocky! : (Tung) Ping Chau Country Trail - it is park of Plover Cove (Extension) Country Park (630 hectares) includes seven offshore islands. Tung Ping Chau is the most remote island and is situated in Tai Pang Wan.

Transportation : Tsui Wah Ferry Service (HK) Ltd. (reservation no: 852-2527 2513)

Take KCR and get off from University Station then walk about 15 minutes to Ma Liu Shui pier (I usually take taxi!). Take the ferry to Tung Ping Chau.
